Then you tuned in just in time to see his first lesson: Sometimes all you can do is tip your cap.

That HR pitch to Young wasn't a bad pitch at all. It was low, it was tailing and he didn't look to telegraph the off-speed. Young just made a nice adjustment mid-swing and fell into it.

No, MLB isn't always fair. Learn this and you'll go far, Stephen.

Sit down. He made that inning look easy.

Definately buying the hype. I know it is the Buccos, but Wow that doesn't make his pitches any less nasty.

14 K's!

He went 7 innings, correct? So he struck out 3/4ths of the batters he faced in his MLB debut?

A bit over 50% of the batters he faced. He gave up 4 hits but didn't walk anyone.

No, BRC, that would be 2/3 of the outs...

Wondering if you had a minute to check out my reply to you about the Tony LaRussa? Might be informational to you. Post 1467

Yadi has way too much Reggie Sanders in him in those spots.

Any time there's a runner on first and one out with Yadi up, I'd be much happier if he just ****ing bunted.

This game is ****ing painful. We're back in no-hitting/piss-all-over-the-pitcher mode. Molina at the plate makes want to hit something.

And it's official - I ****ing hate Matt Mulder-I mean Holliday. I really don't think he could do anything to change my mind, and the good news for him is, he's too busy counting his money to care.

He'll take bigger and bigger swings while making poutier and poutier faces until you love him.

SWING HARDER, MATT!!!

****ing dickhead.

I think you can pull Carpenter now.

I'm not sure there was an easy out for the Cards over the last 3 innings. Bullets all over the yard.

Garrett Anderson once beat Pujols in the 2003 HR Derby.

Fortunately, he has the defensive prowess of a young Clemente.

I'm just glad the guy making 120 million is our third best outfielder.

Like, 7 year-old Clemente?

Though to be fair, Roberto probably had a better throwing arm in grade-school.

I assume you mean after the plane crash.
