There needs to be patience here guys. Juju said today that he is just now getting chemistry with Patrick.

We could see that from MVS and Juju.

He’s TBD for me. George Pickens looks good tho

Because he has been starting from day 1

We're 7 weeks, 6 games, into a guys career who is apparently creating the most separation in his routes among our receivers and we are saying he's not as good as a gadget player in his 4th year in the system and likely never will be? Hot take.

Then you look at players like Drake London succeeding.

There’s the analytics and then the real life negative game changing plays everyone can see.

Mecole is in his 3rd or 4th year he shouldn't be having the issues that he does. Skyy is only 7 games in and I just listened to Reid's press conference and he said it was learning experience for him and that he went a little high on his route. Said Pat trust's him and they worked it out on the sideline.

In a different system, targeted 32 more times, collecting 4 less yards a reception.

I honestly don't know where you've been reading praise for Moore. I've seen a lot of pining for Pickens, absolute anger when he's on punt duties, and some folks wanting to wait and see how he does as a WR getting actual work in. That's about it.

IIRC he never did punt duties in college. I read that multiple times on Twitter.

If that’s true then it’s easy to see why he’s struggling there

His game changing plays are pretty much all punt returns. He should never be on punt duty again in his career. If he can't understand that trying to make an ankle high catch is a bad decision then stop putting him in the position to make that decision over and over.

DrunkBassGuitar 10-23-2022 09:03 PM

I don't think he's a bust and he'll get better but I do think he shouldn't be returning kicks. But I think Reid likes to have rookies return kicks and then slowly get more touches. I can't imagine that being asked to return kicks is helping his confidence though

If we've all admitted that Hardman is more of a gadget player and only an upside 2/3 WR, why are we not then using his speed as a returner?

It's absolutely all at the feet of Toub at this point. The Colts game should've put an end to it. He muffed it inside the 10 on that silly inches from the ground crap he thinks is a good idea for some reason, then was so scared to even field the next punt that it ends up getting downed at the 1. Maybe I'd get it if his college career had a nice resume of punt/kick return work, but there were 3 times total he tried it in college. It's been quite obvious that it's not the job for him for a while now.

He made the Pro Bowl his rookie season as a returner, in case anyone forgot.

Save for the INT which ultimately resulted in a TD today I’d kind of maybe agree.

Dude is screaming to coaches that he has the yips and should not be returning punts, which is an admission of can’t doing something which apparently suck ass Hardman can do.

He sucks right now. It’s okay to admit. He’s a rook, he has time. He’s from a pimple on the ass of college football.

I belief he’ll get there but it looks rough right now.

Right. And if the goal was to take away the returns to make him a #1 WR, that ship has sailed, so let's get him more touches on returns again.

dannybcaitlyn 10-23-2022 09:09 PM

I haven’t lost hope in him as a receiver but I would pull him from punt duties. His confidence is shot.

Sassy Squatch 10-23-2022 09:09 PM

He's already getting separation on his routes, which is a bit surprising given the jump from Bumble**** University to the NFL. Once he's on the same page as Mahomes he'll be fine.
