I'm not upset he's trying to get paid, I think he should get as much money as he possibly can while he still can. But I also think sitting out hurts the chances of a repeat (which I want to see as a fan of the team) and it hurts his ability to get the money he wants even if the gets the contract he wants (which I want to see as a fan of Chris Jones)

I don't think this is fair. People are upset by the following:

1) He is under contract for $20 mil and deciding to sit out 1/2 the season and forfeit $10 mil

2) The Chiefs are offering him more money than anyone at the position outside of one player (and that was a desperation move by LAR) and more than any DT has signed for in the past 2 seasons.

CJ is not trying to get paid... signing a $27+ million dollar, 3-year contract IS getting paid. He and his agent are digging in like toddlers and throwing a fit that the Chiefs won't budge on a more than fair offer. It is what it is. He made his bed and now he's gonna have to lie in it.

He is willing to forfeit the $10 mil knowing his new deal will be worth it whether he gets if from the Chiefs or another team.
