GME going back to 50. Get ready to pull the trigger.

Hammock Parties 02-25-2021 08:58 AM

GME is scary man. I ain't touching that with a ten foot pole.

Mr_Tomahawk 02-25-2021 09:00 AM

Sell your GME and throw it into for the next couple of hours AMC. :-)

Stewie 02-25-2021 09:10 AM

33,000,000 shares traded and there are only 50 million available. Crazy stuff. Don't own and wouldn't, but it's fun watching the battle of billions$.

Bear Trap brought in a lot of retail investors who bought the small rally and now are getting hammered.

This is really interesting. The big boys are pushing gme higher. $185 now on nearly 100 million shares traded today (noon KC time).

Last time it got to 240, dropped to 80 AH then next day shot up to 480 before Robinhood stepped in. If it drops today that'll be your last chance at financial freedom. You know you want in this circus.

This is FORCED buying by the big boys. They're losing at their own game. The number of options "in the money" that expire tomorrow is staggering. Result? Huge price movement.

The estimated amount of GME stock required to cover option expiration above an $80 strike price tomorrow is 5 to 7 million shares. If it's over $100 it's closer to 15 million.

The big boys better start pounding the price.

The problem is there are only about 30 million shares in play. That's why GME is SO different from AMC.

This is going to be fun to watch.

No dog in this race, but I'll be watching every move.

Look at Open Interest for the Strike Prices tomorrow.

Above $80 strike to $95 and from $100 and all else

Advisors. They got this specific info from the options world. It's all public info if you know where to look. I rely on them for a lot of things, but not GME. This was just an inquiry I made.

Chicago Board of Trade, Chicago Mercantile Exchange, etc.. are a good source of option info.

scho63 02-25-2021 05:07 PM

Multiply open interest by 100 as each option represents 100 shares.

GME has moved way beyond individual investing. It's about manipulation and which big market maker gets it up the ass. I think it's hilarious.

Its a LOT more than 10k.

During peak hours on big gain days there have been over 6 MILLION people online browsing/participating in the GME thread. And that's just Reddit, you still have Yahoo Finance, MooMoo and Twitter with absurd numbers as well.

TinyEvel 02-25-2021 06:41 PM

If CCIV does anything close to these numbers tomorrow or in the next week I'll take my profits and scram. LMAO

Stewie 02-25-2021 06:43 PM

Thinking about this. If I were GME management, I'd issue new stock at these levels.

Why not? Lots of buyers out there. A million shares would bring in $100 million. Hell, $30 billion has been traded in two days. Money to reshape the company.

Just a thought.

TinyEvel 02-25-2021 06:49 PM

I seriously see no way Gamestop has any form of a future. It's Blockbuster Video part 2. Unless they create a significantly unique and rich in-person experience that they can monetize, they're done. Even used games will dry up once the market goes full streaming. the developers have NO reason to support retail or disc-based games. They don't make money from resale so they are happy to watch it die.

Hammock Parties 02-25-2021 06:54 PM

They fired the CFO yesterday because he thought like the scenario you just stated.

I think, and I'm no GME expert, but I think they want to go all in on online gaming, sales, etc.. No retail stores, used games, etc..

Hammock Parties 02-25-2021 07:00 PM

There's no reason for anyone to buy from an online Gamestop platform. Steam and Origin already dominate that market.

Gamestop is ****ed.

Ryan Cohen, founder of Chewy.com and e-commerce wizard turned a ****ing dog food reseller into a multi-billion dollar company. He now has a large ownership in Gamestop and has been brought on board to help revamp the company. Lots of speculation but a few insiders have revealed plans to turn stores into esport tournament hosting sites among other things. May work out, may not but I don't think they'll be going out of business anytime soon.

Discuss Thrower 02-25-2021 07:05 PM

Gamestop's plethora of strip-mall occupancy -> E-sports lounge / centers -> states legalizing gambling -> ??????? -> PROFIT
