Liquor store bags
Why?
Why are the paper bags used by liquor stores the thinest, flimsiest bags imaginable? It rivals toilet paper in weight. The purpose of a bag is to allow you to carry more items than you can grasp in your hands. These bags are so flimsy that you can't trust them to carry the weight of all the liquid you just purchased, and must clutch the bottles to your body to avoid dropping them. What is the point? Is it just so that after you've dropped your purchase, someone can get off the quip, "That feller can't hold his liquor." ? |
haha...when i was young and in college, we used to buy the 45 ounces of Colt 45 and ask for the paper bags so we could look all "Ghetto" hahaha
Good times... |
The purpose of a liquor store bag is not to carry the bottle.
It exists because we live in a society that feels that seeing an alcoholic beverage in public is somehow wrong. The strange thing is that everyone knows whats in the bag, but they somehow feel better not actually seeing it. |
Drop one did ya?

Liquor-store bags are like Redrums mom..thin and fraile, usually tears apart at the bottom, not good for anything but fire-starter and is not something you'd want to be seen with in public.....

I always deny having the bag when offered. I just let everyone see what i am drinking while i am in my boxers singing showtunes down on the plaza
|
I agree with you that they are too thin and tear too easily mainly because I recycle my liquor store bags as condoms.
|
I don't like condoms. I just open a alkaseltzer and the girl thinks I am putting one on but really I just drop it in a cup for the next days hangover.
