Old Toys of Yesteryear

Pretty much like the Restaurants of Yesteryear Thread. But this involves toys you grew up with that may not be in production anymore, or at least to the best of your knowledge.

I'll start.

Tinker Toys

I had a HUUUUUGE set of these and ended up selling them in a garage sale.

CrossBows and Catapults.

Would never make it today....it's to 'violent'!

Lincoln Logs (I don't know if they're still in production)

ToxSocks 06-17-2008 02:57 PM

Clackers

Tonka trucks made of metal....

One of my favorites was my Girder & Panel building set, I loved designing and building my own skyscrapers. I also had the Girder & Panel bridge set. Very cool stuff.

Cool. I think I'll buy my daughter some. Today's toys don't make kids use their imaginations.

Corn cob darts (whirlygigs?)

Johnny Express. It was a tethered remote control tractor trailer. I could park it in any tight spot. :)

Gailord (sp?). Best dog ever. He was a battery operated Basset Hound (actual size). All 4 legs walked and he had a magnet in his nose that would pick up a magnetic bone. I LOVED GAILORD.
