Overall Chiefs have something to look forward to in 2010.

In 2009 Chiefs got their butts kicked twice by Chargers and once by Eagles and Broncos. All the rest of their games they lost they lost by a close margin. Given their woes with their OL and their receiver corps there is hope that these areas can be addressed in the offseason and the result can be a much better football team in 2010. Yes we are not a good football team and yes we have holes on both sides of the ball, but as fans we can see that there is still hope that this team can be much improved next season and surprise us all.

Next year's performance will determine for me if the Pioli/Haley team is going to be good for the Kansas City Chiefs Franchise for the long haul.

In the mean time I'm looking forward to seeing what we do in the off season.

How many games did we lose by 7 points or less in '08?

Rinse, repeat.

Bane 12-28-2009 11:27 AM

I don't give a fugg if we lose by 1 or 51,a loss is a loss! All we're trying to do is win a muthafuggn game!ROFL

I'm just sick to death of the playing ok for 55 min shit and then we roll over and choke right at the end of the game bull shit.

2 of the 3 teams that slaughtered us are in the same division. I think that needs to change drastically before anything else.

We need playmakers. And it really looks like we need a new QB. Clausen or Bradford, i don't care, i'm just tired of these damn inaccurate QB's. How much better would Bowe and Chambers look if we had a damn QB that could place the ball in the right spot....

Every time Cassel winds up for a long ball i just think to myself, "oh ****, oh ****, oh ****", and sure enough, he either underthrows it and receiver has to make the adjustment or he overthrows it. Or he throws it to the wrong spot. The point is, it's always something.

Get a QB and everything else will fall into place.

Cassel was and is a joke at QB.I only wish Dungver had traded for him.:cuss:

based on the comments it appears a lot of folks are down on Cassel. i just don't understand how a he could have lead an 11-5 team the year before and be a bad qb with the Chiefs. I am going to hold my judgement until next year's performance.

He's not a joke. Just in a system that probably doesn't fit him completely. He needs more of the short passing game similar to what was called for him in NE. Not sure if Haley is that type of OC, but maybe he turns over the OC reigns to someone that does call less of an AZ type system.

Yeah...the same cast that Brady has this year. A fact that gets ignored often. The guy has been sacked more times than any QB outside of Aaron Rogers (and Rogers is exceptional, so it's unfair to compare the two). You have to factor in the ridiculous amount of sacks into the performance. It's not an excuse...just one of many possible explanations.

Knowing where the first down line is, always helps.

I agree. Cassel would do much better in the Donkey offense. Which is why the Donkeys wanted him. He has no deep ball. He's a great spread QB. That's the way NE used him.

But Haley wants a vertical offense. Hell, i want a vertical offense too. We need a QB with an accurate deep ball.

Imagine the kind of success Cassel would have had if Haley would not have fired Gailey and Chan was able to run his Spread? Then what would we be saying about our QB situation?

It's pretty simple. Two Pro Bowl WR's , super bowl winning coaching staff, and an offense that did not require him to throw deep (which almost any NFL QB can run).

Haley's "O" needs a QB with an accurate deep ball. ala Kurt Warner.

I am glad they didn't. Cassel would be going to the Pro Bowl and they would win the division.

I don't absolve Cassel of all blame, but he has been put in a crappy situation. He has a crappy head coach which is also his crappy offensive coordinator. He has a suspsect offensive line, and WR's that drop more balls than puberty.... and a defense that has struggled all year.

McDumbass knows what he does well and he would be surrounded by talent.... he is much better than Orton.

This thread is one giant n00bgasim.

I just hope Haley is gone after this year. Otherwise, I don't see much to look forward to.
