Which movie quote is more famous?
In an intense game of Pass the Popcorn movie trivia, my wife and I got into a heated argument about which movie quote is more famous.
(A) "Mrs. Robinson, you're trying to seduce me." -- The Graudate or (B) "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn." -- Gone With the Wind. Discuss. |
B. Easily.
|
Uh, B. Not even close.
|
B, hands down. Not many movie quotes are better known that that one, if any.
|
For the record, I said B. My wife, who is reeruned, said A, which I had personally never even heard before.
|
I hope it was Ms. Merman who was arguing A.

Hands down B
and even though i hate the movie, Gable delivers that line perfectly... |
I'd never heard of the second line. So I would go #1.

The American Film Industry also agrees with me. My quote is #1, and hers is a meager #63. I am dominating!

Well, The Graduate quote is pretty well known too. But certainly not as well known as the other. |
