I'd like to see him win it, but I'd also say we're probably a little biased. I really can't say if those other guys are truly better or worse than Cain. Sometimes it takes a year or two to "get noticed." This was kind of Cain's big year for coming out. Plus, he gets yanked over to right field in a lot of games.

Sounds like Gold Gloves are kinda bullshit, if that's true.

By defensive runs saved, Lorenzo Cain was baseball's fifth-best RIGHT fielder despite playing, basically, one-third of the season there.

Anything that is voted on can be kinda bullshit. Plus, fielding is pretty tough to quantify and judge. I see all the catches he makes. But I also don't see the other guys 100+ times a year like I do Cain.

Lorenzo Cain was second for outfielders in the AL in UZR/150...to Alex Gordon.

we have Gordon/Cain/Dyson/Hosmer/Moose and Salvy...sometimes all on the field at the same time...and that's not even mentioning Escobar.

Cain will win the Gold Glove next year based on this year's performance in the playoffs. It's a reputation thing.
