Why no bumping the WR's?

Why do we play such an "aggressive" defense but never bump he WR's? Especially against Manning? We didn't make him ever hold the ball and the one time we did...BAM!

WTF is with Sutton?

Jimmya 12-02-2014 03:04 PM

Sutton is terrible..... Chiefs radio was all over him for not adjusting.... He is a man to man coach and it will take quite a bit for Reid to fire him.

BigMeatballDave 12-02-2014 03:10 PM

They held Manning to less than 200 yards. That's pretty good, actually.

I'd find something else to bitch about. Defense is the least of this team's problems.

Because they were running all over us...

And this thread is about the DBs...

He had 179 yards on 34 attempts. That's an average of 5.2. That's pretty good pass D, I think. Especially vs Manning.

Context is key here

They didn't ramp up the passing game cause there was little need of it, on account of our front 7 getting it pushed in right up the middle, all, night, long!

penbrook 12-02-2014 03:43 PM

We have yet to allow a 300 yard passer all season

4.8 ypc isn't 'getting it pushed in'. That certainly isn't good, but I'd be far more concerned about the offense than this.

Of course, local KC sports radio sparked this lame debate, so I get it.

Did you watch the game? Smith tried to press on Denvers first TD.

Mile High Mania 12-02-2014 04:11 PM

As stated - you didn't make Manning pass... they ran it pretty well.

In the first game, he was 21 for 26 with 242 yds and 3 TDs. So, 5 TDs in the air in 2 games.

That can happen with the 30th ranked run defense.

this

Manning saw no need to throw the ball when running for 200+ yards

If Manning had needed he would have driven the length of the field for the winning touchdown. No doubt.

TribalElder 12-02-2014 04:29 PM

Their aids was really flaring up

Mr. Laz 12-02-2014 04:38 PM

once again Sutton only has one defense to play

Last year when that happened people said it was because of shitty personnel. Well this year's personnel was selected by Dorsey and Sutton. That excuse doesn't work anymore.

Jimmya 12-02-2014 04:50 PM

Agree with Mr Laz 1000%....he will not change
