Any of you with direct TV Sunday ticket want to work something out?

Moved to Denver so I won't be able to catch games on local TV. Definitely not interested in unreliable low quality streams.

I would, of course, be happy to pitch into the cost of your subscription.

Yes, I am aware that they offer a stand alone service but one must live in an apartment that does not allow DTV, mine does.

I couldn't order porn (wtf would anyone pay for that?), but you would be giving me the same user name and email address that is tied to your account.

Theoretically, I could log into your DTV account and see your bill, your address, and possibly order you new services. (of it works anything like primary logins did at Cox)

You would be trusting me with some info, yes.

Two problems. Most is not all and no dvr means I can't be late or have anything else going on.

As for alternatives... Torrents after the fact, low quality streams, and having to be on time or miss the game are deal breakers for me.

We can work something out. Just don't F with my account.

PR... just so you know, my apartment complex does allow DirecTV, but I was still able to sign up for the Online only.

I'd really like to get access to the online version of Sunday Ticket as well if anyone has the option. Pretty much stuck with Vikings and Packers up here in ND so I'm always watching horrible streams since I no longer have DirectTV. If someone is willing to let me tag along, please IM me. After PR of course. Don't want to hijack his thread too much. :D

I thought I read somewhere that it is actually illegal for a apartment complex to not allow you to have whatever cable company you want. They can puff their chest about it but in the end it is illegal. Let me see if I can find something on it.

I don't remember missing many games last year. If any? Besides the times I closed my eyes.

Found this:

Quote:

"In 1996, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) adopted rules for Over-the-Air-Reception Devices (“OTARD” rules). The OTARD rules prohibit restrictions on a property owner or tenant’s right to install, maintain, or use an antenna to receive video programming from direct broadcast satellites (DBS), broadband radio services (formerly referred to as multichannel multipoint distribution services or MMDS), and television broadcast stations (TVBS). However, there are exceptions to the OTARD rules, including provisions for safety and preservation of historic areas."
