That's terrible... even a rising superstar with millions can have their life abruptly ended, and only 24 years old. Such a sad accident.

This is really sad. He seemed like a good genuine dude.

First thing I read this morning and I think I am about to throw up. It hurts remembering the video of Jeff Loria reuniting Jose with his grandmother in Miami after being separated for years. Defected from Cuba, return from TJ all for naught. Oh, he was going to be a father too.

This one stings. RIP Jose. I will never forget 2013 when the Royals played the Marlins in KC and he single-handedly put that lowly team on his back and led them to a 1-0 win. It was one of the more frustrating games to watch as a fan, but as a viewer of the game it was one of the first times I learned to respect the flat out talent of a young stud like him.

Sad news indeed.

Damn, he had a kid on the way too. Brutal.

He was a great talent and I remember how he kept kicking the Pirate's ass each time he pitched against us.

Life is sooooooo short in the totality of it all. That's why I live it to the fullest.....Tomorrow may never arrive.
