Best NFL QB produced - by state

A somewhat odd list in that only 40 states have produced an eventual NFL QB, and this list ranks by career passer rating (so in Louisiana, Rex Grossman would beat Terry Bradshaw 71-70 altho Peyton wins the state).

Can you guess the Kansas or Missouri selections? Again only where they were born:

Spoiler!

Here are some Chiefs connections:

37. Todd Collins, MA
34. Tyler Thigpen, SC (the state's only one)
8. Joe Montana, PA

are they going by where they were born? or where they were raised?

Because Texas would be much higher......

Drew Brees
Andrew Luck
Mathew Stafford
Andy Dalton

ect.

Prison Bitch 11-22-2016 10:52 AM

Brees did win Texas (#5 overall)

According to http://www.pro-football-reference.com/, these guys were all born in Kansas. All would be better than Shaun Hill, no?

Jim Everett - Emporia
Lynn Dickey - Paola
Billy Kilmer - Topeka
John Hadl - Lawrence

Todd Collins? TODD COLLINS?! Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.

A 2nd round pick who played for 15 years, but was mostly a backup with a 56% completion percentage and 4,600 career yards?

Yeah, no. How about a guy who played for 17 years and has nearly 37,000 yards passing with a 60% completion percentage, with three pro bowls? Westwood's own, Matt Hasselbeck.

Hell, Doug Flutie had nearly the same completion percentage, but 3x more yards, plus 1,600 rushing yards in his NFL career, and on top of that was basically the Wayne Gretzky of the CFL, with 6 CFL MVP awards, and 3 championships (being named MVP in all three championship games). Natick's own Doug Flutie.

Todd Collins....Jesus.

Think Todd Collins has a street named after him in his hometown?

Ah, I see. Looks like they are going strictly by place of birth, even if the kid spent his entire childhood somewhere else, really. Yeah, ok. No clue who was BORN where so sure, whatever.

I wouldn't know. Doesn't sound like it from his Wiki page though.

Quote:

Rome gained notoriety for an incident in his ESPN2 show Talk2 in 1994 when his guest was NFL quarterback Jim Everett. Rome had previously referred to Everett as "Chris" (after Chris Evert, the female tennis player), suggesting that Everett was less than a man whenever he shied away from getting hit. Appearing as a guest on the show, Everett warned Rome about repeating the insult. Rome continued his taunt, causing Everett to overturn the table between them and shove Rome to the floor while still on the air. Their confrontation resulted in no legal action although Rome publicly apologized to Everett. Rome considers that event one of his early career mistakes.
