i have received neither they should have fired off an e-mail in 24 seconds if they wanted to avoid a potentially legally damaging situation |
Read your rent/ lease agreement regarding your deposit return.

Are you dealing with a management company or an individual?

A lack of Email response in a matter of 24hrs hardly seems alarming at all. Some companies/people will only check their email in the morning. Sometimes not at all that day. Email is kind of archaic in 2019. Or they may be looking into your issue and do not have a proper response yet. In which case a phone call in to them would be nice. Trying to escalate this into a lawsuit because you haven't seen a response in 24hrs seems like quite the spoiled millennial thing to do. |
From what you've told us so far:
You moved out, left your forwarding address and received email confirmation that your keys had been received. Then you did nothing for 30 days until you finally wrote an email (of all things) and since you didn't get an immediate response (****ing millennials) you're panicking. Dude.... |

It's their job to return the security deposit, not mine to enforce the return of it. They are a shitty ****ing management company, **** them. |
