What will be the main entree of your Thanksgiving meal tomorrow?
Poll coming as soon as that little red thing pops out.
The wife and I are eschewing the traditional turkey in favor off crab legs. Mmmm, crab legs. Edit: Due to a management oversight, ham was not included as an initial choice and has been added as a category at the bottom of the list. |
Turkey unfortunately.
I despise turkey. I mean turkey is fine. It really is. But There are so many things that are better. But we do turkey for.....reasons? |
I’m guessing it is because of my **** sister.

My wife makes a great turkey, but it's just the two of us so we don't need something big. In the past we've made various other dishes like seafood or pork, but this is only our second crab leg Thanksgiving. |
Darn. I meant to have a separate category for ham. If you're having ham, just classify it as "Pork - other".

Wife and I made reservations for the first time this year and I couldn't be happier. Need a year off from the grocery store madness, the cleanup, the 100 tupperware containers, the sounds of a dozen people eating mostly soft mushy food. I'm opting for a dry aged ribeye instead.

Whatever Golden Buffet is serving. Discovered several years ago that not having momma spend several hours cooking and having 2 weeks of leftovers was much preferable and less stressful than what it was worth. And everybody gets what they want without overdosing on anything.

My wife served a smoked ham the previous 2 years, catering to my son-in-law who stated a preference for ham
Now I have a second son-in-law and turkey is back on the menu. I like both, but my viewpoint on Thanksgiving is that the "main" entree is merely the hub in the wheel of the feast - it is entirely necessary and vital, but the stars are all the sides that go along with it. |

Capital Grille for us. Steak. |
My dad smokes a turkey every year and it's incredible.

Skipping the weather and travel nightmares and family drama this year. Going to be on a beach under a palm tree. Eating whatever they're serving there... who knows, who cares.

Spaghetti and meatballs
