Bienemy needs to sit tight, and talk to Andy a little!
They need to have a heart to heart talk about him pursuing a head coaching job. He may be well suited to hang tight, and when Andy steps down, take over for him.
What say you? (obviously if Andy plans to stick around till he is 70, it changes things, but...) |
That’s just not Andy’s style. A big part of Andy’s career has been centered on giving his coaches the chance to succeed elsewhere.
|
Andy won't be retiring for a decade. Pat will keep him young.
|
Andy seems to be one of the best at identifying and cultivating coaching talent. I'm not too worried about whoever he finds whenever bienemy gets his shot.
|
Andy’s gonna be here for awhile, health permitting
|
Let's win 10 or 12 more super bowls first.
|
Would rather have EB move on and have Kafka become OC for the next decade+.

Clark Hunt just gave Andy a big big pay raise and extension I think 5 years why would EB wait that long? I believe Andy is the highest paid coach in the NFL he isn't going to step down any time soon.
|
I say I wouldn’t want EB to be the head coach of the Chiefs. I think there’s too much downside with his style and I’d much rather have a steadier hand that just allows Mahomes to do what he does. Spags or Nagy - although both with poor coaching histories - probably better in light of that.

I like EB but I don't think he's head coach material. |
Reid is nearing 70. He's this fat, and he hasn't had a single health scare yet.
Guys, look.... obesity is unhealthy, I know. But the guy has zero history of a health scare at this point. You don't have to do this "well... Reid's health" line of bullshit every time you're thinking about the future. If/when Reid retires it will be because he's old, not because he's fat. |

The NFL is telling him to stick with what he does extremely well, coach the defense. The Chiefs should do the same when/if Reid retires. |
