The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic continues to plague the NFL. Since the start of last week, 213 players have tested positive for COVID-19, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. That's almost 10% of the league.

The 2021 NFL season is DOOOOOOOOOOOMED!!!!!!

Nah, there's money involved. If the players have to play on mobile ventilators, the league will make it happen.

The NFL is going to push on with whatever is left to throw out there these next few weeks. I wouldn't worry about any kind of shutdown.

No chance in hell but the champ will look like a paper champ. Too many teams have lost games from players being on covid.

They’ve scaled back testing for asymptomatic players. Logical next step would be to allow them to play if positive but asymptomatic.

Omicron is rampant but pretty mild.

I just don't think they are going to make it. Pray for them.

They screwed up when they made the schedule. They should have had the 17th game, i.e. the KC vs GB game scheduled for the end of the season. Then, they could simply cancel that game for every team and move games that have an abundance of players out into that spot. But, they wanted the most impactful games at the end of the season, so they didn't do it. Now, here we are, teams jockeying for position, or just to get into the playoffs, and they're going into games short 15-20% or more of they're roster. That is beyond stupid.

We need another NFL COVID thread.

In a sane society, people would continue without issue. But in a society that thinks this variant is smallpox and the plague combined (two diseases that actually killed off young people like crazy), we get panic.
