What's the concensus view on the ankle play? Im 50/50 on it. It did NOT look natural in that he grabbed Pat's left shoulder pad and pulled down as he collapsed straight down after the pass was thrown.

Deliberate as hell.....nobody falls on their ass like that unless they know it's gonna be a soft landing...

I’m sure I’m biased but it really doesn’t seem like Mahomes gets very many “protection” calls from the refs. Seems like defensive players can always get away with a little extra against him.

I think it was intentional to roll up on the back of Patrick’s legs, but I don’t want the league stepping in trying to add that to the already-incredibly-subjective list of things they can throw a flag for.

It’s up to the players to learn how to fall correctly. Mahomes, for example, has been playing with fire. He’s running around out there trying to make something happen, holding the ball until the very last second. On that particular play, he was being sandwiched by two defenders. He’s got to learn to jelly-leg it and just crumble to the ground.
