My hunch is that most of Minnesota's are carved on cave walls from the Bud Grant era.

The Giants are kind of amazing when you think about it. They've won only 8 division titles in 53 seasons, and have 4 Super Bowl wins.

They're the UConn of the NFL.

Needs to be parsed out for the post-merger, pre-Houston expansion era.

wazu 05-25-2023 09:25 AM

Holy crap, how do we only have 13? Haven't we won like 6 straight or something? We need 2 more just to tie the Broncos. Mahomes and Reid are washing away 50 years of fail as fast as they can.

RedinTexas 05-25-2023 09:25 AM

Interesting that the 2 worst teams on that list have been in the NFL the entire era since the merger and yet have fewer division titles than every single one of the expansion teams.

ETA - The Cardinals nearly qualified too, but have managed 1 more division title than the Jaguars.

As well as pre and post free agency/salary cap.

I lose count sometimes because at this point it just feels like infinity.

Kids entering 2nd grade this fall have never lived in a world where the Chiefs didn't win the AFC West.

smithandrew051 05-25-2023 09:58 AM

Chiefs are in the middle of the most dominant stretch in AFC West history.

7 straight division titles. 3 Super Bowls. 2 MVPs, 2 Super Bowl wins. 5 home AFCCGs. 11 postseason wins. Best player in the history of the Division. Best coach in the history of the Division.

Nothing is close to this. Best franchise in the Division. It’s really obvious too.

And the pre-Mahomes/Mahomes era.
