Anybody go see this yet?

Took my son to see it today, and we both loved it. Probably the best TMNT movie since the original live action version.

Strong Into the Spider-Verse vibes with the animation and more theatrical approach for the genre.

I'll end up taking my son here in the next week or so, he is pretty excited about it. Even got a TMNT lunch box for school this year.

My son is super excited for it, we have a wedding out of town this weekend or we'd definitely be going. Probably will see it next week/weekend.

Seems like they release a new cartoon or movie every 5-10 years. Just enough to stay relevant.

I mean, it’s awesome, don’t get me wrong. TMNT was probably my biggest childhood craze next to Power Rangers. It’s just hard to believe they’re both still pretty big three decades later.

I was the one kid that didn't like the Turtles growing up. Didn't like watching it, never had any of the toys.

All the Disney shit. DuckTales, Rescue Rangers, TaleSpin etc.

That’s weak. Assuming you’re a dude, I want to hear about the violent shit you were into. Every young boy has to like something violent when they’re young. That’s pretty much all they market toward us after a certain point.

No dinosaurs? Superheroes? Thundercats? He-Man? Gargoyles?

I lived over in Japan when the first toys came out and I can still remember the store when we went to go buy some. Moms were fighting each other to get certain ones. I wish I still had them.

Yep. Lived there for 3 years when I was 8 years old.

Gargoyles still holds up. Just watched some episodes two days ago.

That’s funny because I decided to give it a rewatch recently as well. I’m like 6 or 7 episodes into the first season and it ain’t too bad.

Takes me back to being a kid. Love it.
