ESPN Announces Deep Dive Into Infamous Chiefs Fan
Found this to share:
GET YOUR POPCORN READY, KANSAS CITY! There's supposedly an important football game being played on Monday but plans change. ESPN+ is releasing a documentary on Chiefs' infamous superfan Xaviar Babudar, more commonly known as "ChiefsAholic," and it looks spectacular. This is the most exciting day for Chiefs Kingdom in years. Where do you begin? The 40-minute documentary, titled "Where Wolf: The Search for ChiefsAholic", appears to interview several people close to Babudar and his attorney, who made waves for his impassioned defense of his client over the summer. Bravo to ESPN's production team for getting this film put out so quickly. You can hear the voices of prominent Chiefs fans and there's reference of a second fan that wears a wolf costume as well, adding to the intrigue. This looks like a special week for Chiefs fans and I expect all of Kansas City to tune into ESPN+ on Monday. A watch party for ChiefsAholic followed by a watch party for Chiefs vs. Eagles sounds like the best possible way to spend NFL Week 11. Link: https://kckingdom.com/posts/espn-ann...c-01hfce1w6yw3 |
Really scraping the bottom of the barrel for stories, huh?

I can't wait for the movie. Hopefully Martin Scorsese picks it up!

Meh. Would prefer the X-Factor biopic.

Guessing ESPN isn't the only one doing a deep dive into him
|
I hear Son of Sam was a NY Giants fan. I wonder if espn will do a deep dive into that.

This is the kind of hard hitting programming that makes me glad I dont watch espn anymore

"The most exciting day for Chiefs Kingdom in years!"
Lmao, maybe you could say this if this was the Pioli ran Chiefs, but it's not. We play in the most exciting games every single year and this isn't remotely close to exciting. |
Is there a slippery slope of fandom/obsession?
1.) I find football entertaining 2.) It's entertaining and I really enjoy a particular team 3.) I like this team and I have a tee shirt that says so. 4.) Now I wear multiple team related articles of clothing 5.) I got tickets to the game and I'll be wearing my gear. 6.) I paint my face with the team colors now. 7.) Face paint plus a costume. People expect it. I haven't asked them or heard anyone say they expect it, but I'm sure they do. 8.) I've added some actions or antics to my routine. If I see a camera operator, I flail about until he films me. Everyone loves me - they don't have to verbalise it - I can tell from their eyes that I am adored and valued. 9.) My fandom, my presence, my actions are an integral part of the teams success. If I failed to be at the game, doing the things I do, the crowd would become listless and the team would surely fail. I am integral to their success. 10.) Think I'll rob a bank. |

This is not the most exciting day for Chiefs Kingdom in years. I mean, we've played in 5 straight AFC Championship games, 3 SBs, etc. over the past several years. I'd say those were the most exciting. What a bunch of crap. |
