Return from I.R. Super Bowl
Are there any players who could return from I.R. for the Super Bowl?
I don't think it would happen but I wonder where Cook is in his recovery.
Not so much IR but getting Gay and Thuney back would be a pretty big deal.
How bout the kid whose foot turned the wrong way?? Cook..
Getting Skyy back for depth wouldn't be a bad thing
Skyy Moore and Kadarius Toney are not taking any snaps for the team the rest of this year...maybe ever.

Only rumors, but that's what the rumors were. As for Gay - man, he's gotta be back, right? I just can't see him 'giving it a shot' pre-game but not being ready in 2 weeks. Fortunately, the 49ers don't have a Madubuike so I'm not as worried about not having Thuney in that game. Allegretti can get the job done against the 49ers interior line. Especially since SF doesn't utilize much in the way of complicate blitz packages that would create communication problems. We don't need Thuney as much against SF as we did against Baltimore. |

I don't think there's any way Thuney is playing. I saw a picture of him in the locker room celebrating with his shirt off, and his entire pec/armpit/upper arm are bruised. If there's even a question of a tear - and there is - I don't see how he plays.
Edit: I found it: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Joe Thuney in a locker room celebration. We're praying for his recovery & that he can play in the Super Bowl. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/ChiefsKingdom?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#ChiefsKingdom</a> <a href="https://t.co/2tRPpkqWLI">pic.twitter.com/2tRPpkqWLI</a></p>— Starcade Media (@StarcadeMediaKC) <a href="https://twitter.com/StarcadeMediaKC/status/1751784320346243255?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">January 29, 2024</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |

I'm hopeful for Gay and Omenihu. The rest I do not expect.
