Johnny Morton now "doubtful"??

apparently a new MRI has now shown a small tear in his Achilles

potential for increased injury.

according to Metrosports

(btw might be new and old info mixed together... they were kinda vague)

This is new news to me ...... Ouch !

The Bad Guy 09-10-2004 10:15 AM

Vermeil said he was fine in his morning PC.

I don't want to hear it. I'm definitely nervous for the donko game.

 i don't know...

they are just showing a new metrosports this morning and talked about the tear ... which i hadn't heard before.

also talked about how he thought about retiring this preseason because of the possibility of "blowing his Achilles" completely.

TRR 09-10-2004 10:20 AM

Sounds fishy to me. You sure this isn't old news? He's been going full go on it, even this morning....

vckcchiefs04 09-10-2004 10:23 AM

Have not found this news anywhere!!

TRR 09-10-2004 10:23 AM

9/10....

GRETZ: How much do you expect to get out of Johnnie Morton on Sunday?

VERMEIL: “Everything he has to give. Anything less will not be acceptable. Johnnie Morton is a pro and he knows what’s expected of him. He made two catches on the practice field this week that looked like he’d never missed a practice. I don’t know if he’ll have the stamina you need or anything like that, but we’ll rotate him through and I believe he’ll make a big play.”

Soupnazi 09-10-2004 10:24 AM

What's going on here? Can anyone confirm this other than Metrosports?

ChiTown 09-10-2004 10:32 AM

I'm really tiring of this pansie ass muther*****er. Let Richard Smith play in his spot for a while and I bet Cindy Morton will heal up pretty quickly.....

Ssshh. Morton is still on the team, so you can't talk bad about him.

***** em.

It's my opinion. If people can't see what a worthless bag of crap this guy is, that's their fault.

Well according to Vermeil, he practiced this morning and had no setbacks. 810 just reported that there hasn't been a decision on how much Morton will play, but that he will play Sunday night after being out a month.
