It was time. Thanks to ET for some great years of service.
Loving the aggressiveness that Veach and Andy are showing this offseason. We are definitely going all in for the next couple of seasons. |
i imagine playing for ET would be like trying to get fired up for an MMA fight by Clint Eastwood giving the pep talk.

Maybe we can bring back one of the glory days secondary: Cherry has a bunch of businesses, is Lewis, Ross or Burruss coaching? Would also take Hasty.
|
Bring back Warfield as the coach of the Secondary

Good. Call Ed Reed and lets go.
|
This was on CP two weeks ago via Marty Mac.
|
Eric Berry to replace him? Might as well get something out of him.
|
Kendrick Lewis is available

I wonder why his daughter announced it.
Good luck to Emmitt going forward. He was one of the heroes of my youth. |
Marty Mac also said we will sign House one way or another

Any word on Al Harris?

thanks and goodbye to one of the greatest Chiefs ever.

Good call, good for him and may he enjoy his retirement. He is no spring chicken!
|
Wish him good health and happiness
That said he should have been gone a couple of years ago. |
Get ready for the Bartee Partee

Also, how would that work? Would he show up as like a Force ghost or something? |
Bring in Bernard Pollard to show these young guys how to shut down Brady.

If I had to pick a former Chief who would make a good DB coach, who might actually take the job, I'd nominate James Hasty, Mark Collins or Kevin Ross. Cherry has too much money, Albert Lewis would be a better special teams coach, Dale Carter was insane and undisciplined. Another good pick would be Lloyd Burruss. Did you know Burruss is the only Chief to ever be the Mack Lee Hill Award winner - rookie of the year- (1981), the team’s MVP (1985) and a member of the Chiefs Hall of Fame (1999)?

Enjoy your retirement, Emmitt, you have earned it!

Where is Jim Marsalis these days?

So long Emmitt. Still always imagine the number 18 when I hear his name.

Where is Reggie Tongue now days? Gary Green? Bennie Thompson? Anyway I wish Emmitt a long well deserved retirement. I also hope he went out of his own accord. I hate the thought of one of the chiefs greats being fired. I read long ago that Emmitt ran a 4.4 40 if so impressive. Also old coaches said he was as fast in pads as in shorts. Thats something if true considering the gear was big and heavy then. |
Thank God. New blood please.

Dang, and our defensive backs were doing so well.. William Bartee available? Would be a great steal.
|
That's good news. As good as hiring Spagnuolo and House.
Hopefully he will be replaced by someone who can teach the DB's how to tackle. |
Reggie Tounge come to teach people how to lay licks.

I'm glad they let him retire. He's an all-time great Chief.
|
It's sad to see the last link to the Chiefs of my youth leave, but it's time. One of the greatest CBs of all time and a master of the bump and run. Didn't Kevin Ross HC the Arena League team we had in KC a few years back? Now just bring in DJ to coach the LBs.
|
Jamell Fleming anyone?
