Let's see Cutler take the Arizona ****ing Cardinals to the ****ing Super Bowl

That just blew my mind.

However, looking a little bit deeper, Cutler threw 146 interceptions to Warner's 128, and 7.2 yards per attempt to Warner's 7.9. His QB rating is 85.7 to Warner's 93.7, so it tells us that Warner was a better quarterback. Maybe not the difference you'd expect between a HoF quarterback and a Cutler-level quarterback, though.

I'm legit interested how Cutler does in Gase's offense in Miami. I think Gase has more weapons down there than he ever did in Chicago, even if Brandon Marshall was there.

Agreed, I'll be watching too. Cutler has always had the arm. Miami made playoffs last year. Cutler knows the Gase system. He doesn't have any excuses.

Jay Cutler's 1-year, $10 million contract with the #Dolphins also includes $3M in incentives, source said. So, max value $13M.

Didn't Cutler marry a Playmate? She'll be happy on South Beach with her hubby making a minimum of 10 mil this year.

Well, when Warner was great he was great. Cutler's been the same lukewarm soup forever.

TambaBerry 08-06-2017 12:10 PM

The dolphins are clearly racist for choosing Cutler over Kaepernick. I've already seen these kind of comments all over

NWTF 08-06-2017 12:11 PM

Supposedly Gase wanted him bad, and Cutler is familiar the offense they are running. May actually be a good fit for both parties but nothing that will actually change Miamis fortunes. They were playing for second fiddle to the Pats in the east and a wild card spot before Tannehill got hurt and Cutler doesnt change that.

Yes, Cutler is clearly the best football fit. Gase recruited him heavily to make this happen.
Add in the fact kaep wore a Fidel Castro shirt making half of Miami hate him.
But yeah, there will still be some sjws out there talking like this is an injustice, like the league owes kaep a job.

Cutler has/had a ridiculously strong arm and a gunslinger mentality. It wasn't the million dollar arm that held him back. It was the ten cent brain and the shitty people skills. A stupid and uninspiring gunslinger, but still a gunslinger. He was also reasonably mobile. He also spent some time running Offenses that could rack up stats between the 20's like money in the bank. I would take Kurt 'help me Jeebus' Warner in his prime over Cutler in his, any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

We're still trading Smith's ass in 2018. Maybe not for a 1st, but we ain't going to sit on our dicks when we can give Mahomes some valuable help through the draft and in freeing up cap room.

Maybe we'll trade him, maybe we'll just outright cut him. He's cheaper to cut than to keep in '18.

Shitty personality. Dude throws a game-changing pick 6 and then wanders off by himself on the sideline with a look on his face like he's bored and doesn't give a shit about anything.

Locals protested and threatened to boycott when the then Miami Marlins Manager, Ozzie Guillen praised Fidel Castro.

The Dolphins didn't want the same to happen with a potential Colin Kaepernick signing.

Here's another key stat:

Cutler : 139 career starts 68-71

Warner : 116 career starts 67-49

Plus, Cutler wasn't an all-pro. Ever. Being the best in the NFL even for one or two seasons is an accomplishment. Cutler, in his best years, barely cracks the top 15.

Not so much 'mean[ing] jack' as numbers are bad at differentiating things they aren't focused on.

For instance, career yards and TDs isn't good at differentiating a player who started late and and had an extended purgatory of franchise turmoil and injury [remember the NYG years?], but sandwiched in there many years of premiere play, . . . from a player who is mediocre yet reliable from draft day to present.
