Could mean something, could mean nothing, but it sure looks good from where I'm sitting... |
Sweet Jesus let this be a sign, and let us not lose draft picks for tampering.
|
Yes please. Bye bye Smith.

Make this ****ing happen, Clark.

Oh great I suppose now Chiefs will be under investigation for "tampering" with draft pick prospects because Chiefs.
|
Trade up for Watson, just do it. If he's there in the late teens, pull the trigger and get the better QB out of it.
|
ASS and Tigger both gone in a a few months? Is this heaven or KC?
|
And here..... we go!

Clark Hunt received a humanitarian award? What did he do other than force soccer down America's throat?
|
Derrick Thomas agent.
|
Smokescreen for another team to jump over us and get Mahomes so that ILB falls to us.
|
weird picture
What does a Humanitarian award have to do with Steinberg and Mahommes? Who is the dude hanging on to the award while Hunt has it? |
I strongly advise that you don't get hyped about anything QB for the next 2.5 months.
We all know how this ends |

Round projections right now are pretty meaningless.
Once the combine is over and any sort of individual / college workouts are done, then you can believe with some certainty that a grade will hold out for a player. |

That's far from the "majority". |

The draft is a funny thing. Alex Smith was taken 1.1 but he was more or less of a bust for the 49ers but at 24 the Packers scored with a far superior quarterback in Aaron Rodgers. So guys rise and fall all the time for different reasons can't hold what they project now against them all the time. Hard work and determination can make or break a quarterback also the mental aspect of toughness like when we dismantled Ryan Leaf.
Mock drafts are fun but has anyone ever gotten a full 32 first round picks right? It's virtually impossible to predict the draft including trades and variables. Also the misleading reports teams purposely put out there just to hoax other teams thinking they may grab a guy and teams make a trade with them it's called a war room for a reason. That is one aspect that makes the draft fun and intriguing. Drafting a quarterback otf has been a dream of mine for three decades. I know I can handle a couple of years watching a quarterback go through ups and downs and watch him grow into it and wait for that light bulb to turn on when he gets it then you have something special but that only happens to teams that take a chance and actually draft a quarterback otf. He may even be a blunder but my belief worth it if we are ever going try to win a Super Bowl. Here I am wishful thinking we draft a qbotf and I know better :shake: |

I'm not letting one game gloss over the issues that Watson has. He could overcome them, but I'd be skeptical to say the least if the Chiefs take him. |
Spit on it before you polish it boys.
Save some for Alex as he leads the CHIEFS next year... |
Tom Brady
Drew Brees Russell Wilson Dak Prescott Kirk Cousins Derek Carr Tony Romo Scouts got it wrong on all these guys. It's turned into a QB class vs Andrew Luck as a prospect and we all know nobody matches up with him, which is what makes them look dumber and dumber every year. |

Alex Smith is leading us to another failure ending season. |
Quote:
The only way you get rid of Alex Smith is if we acquire a veteran or we need to trade Alex Smith to move up in the draft to get the guy we want. All this other crap is just people being pissed and not thinking straight. |

Watson graduated High a School and College early. There are so many differences man. They aren't the same player. Maybe physically? But mentally? I compare Watson to Russell Wilson. |

The Chiefs' system would be great for him. Reid took two freelancers, Vick and McNabb, and made the system work for them. He can do it for Watson. And having Alex Smith under contract for only 1-2 more years is ideal because it gives time to develop. I'm cool with either Watson or Mahomes. But I just see an "it" factor in Watson that can't be coached. The guy is fearless in the 4Q. |

I would be happy with ANY of the current prospects.
That said, I like Mahomes and Trubiski the best out of this year's offerings, with Chad Kelly as a UDFA option as Bray was. |

Someone should let that Mahommes kid that the Chiefs don't draft QBS

does mahomes fit andy reids west coast offense principles?
west coast offense requires footwork, smarts, timing and accuracy mahomes played in a simple air raid offense with 1 read akin to backyard football reid will be looking for qb more oriented to his wco principles, I would think |
You all are haters! alex smith didn't drop three td passes vs Pittsburgh! Plus his o line was broken! Get him but i still have faith in Alex Smith!

We've lived through eons of seasons where the Hunts were OK with ~.500 seasons as long as the wins were at home so the proletariat fans have hope, a fun time at the game, and they could pocket tons of salary cap cash. Maybe they found a way to funnel the money into the MLS, IDK... |
Quote:
Reid also hired childress to be a spread advisor. Even brought in experts on read option. so he understands concepts beyond wco. I don't buy at all that he's locked into the wco. Give him a qb and he'll find a way to adjust his offense. Reid may have weaknesses, but he's a bright offensive mind and knows how to coach qbs. |

But hey, I'm guilty as charged, I usually find a game to take the boys to, and lately the team never fails to disappoint. Sent from my phone using Tapatalk (so spelling be damned!!!) |
Mahomes to me has Andy Reid written all over him. We were linked as a possible landing spot for Johnny Manziel on draft night a few years back, and Lynch last year. Neither exactly finished products.
I'd like to know how he is as a leader and motivator, as that obviously plays a huge role. But as far as physical ability, its all there. Let the kid come in and sit for a year, and maybe if you're really lucky he is just too damn good to sit from day one. |
No thanks.

I dont like the offense he's coming from. Never taking a snap under center annoys me and I think it inflates states. Sometimes it looks like he forces throws maybe that can be coached but maybe not. His footwork is really really bad. Again maybe that can be coached but off the top of my head I can't think of a prospect that came out with horrible footwork and turned into a stud? |
Quote:
We'll see how he does in the pro day/combine, interviews are a huge part of this that we will never see or hear. |
It's hard to imagine the announcers saying the name "Mahomes" when he makes a big play in a big game.
It doesn't roll of the tongue. |

Billay makes valid points and I'd rather see the Chiefs make a grab for Sam Darnold anyway.
This may be the year that it's easiest to part ways with Smith, but I'll bet you anything they keep him on, try to move Foles, and look for a late-round QB to fill Foles slot, if not move Bray up and put a pick like Trubiski at #3 behind Bray. |

That's dumb as ****. So, either the Chiefs strike gold with a later draft choice or with a trade. They won't be in a position to draft the "best" college QB prospects. |
