Hypothetical question
so, is mu fans referring to ku fans as "gayhawks" officially a thing of the past now?
|
I love hypothetical questions, but only in theory.
|
it's kinda funny that has been such an endearing term to me from many of my mizzou brethren, but I wonder now that they are all open to various sexual orientations and above the fray if that term will now become an unwritten taboo

I hope so.

It was always straight out of 5th grade.

The Jayhawks are just a minor cog in a larger disfunctional machine from around the time of the telegraph. The state of Kansas.

Don't know a Jayhawk fan whose even gotten worked up by that rhyming slight.
I literally think: Ohh look, an ignorant person is not pleased with my personal choice of the college team I am a fan of because I've graduated and hold numerous degrees and a doctorate from there. Why does this guy seem transfixed on staring at my crotch.... awkward! |
you know, I remember when i went to ku out of HS in '97, I fondly recall a lot of my friends at the time indicating to me that ku had one of the highest percentages of homosexuals (not referenced in those terms) and questioning my sexual preference, of course mostly in good spirits. And now to think some of those same friends are relishing this opportunity to be in support of hosting one of the first open homosexuals entering the NFL draft.
Do you think that in those 16 years since we have graduated their life philosophies have changed? Or do you think I just hang with a bunch of dick heads that choose the circumstances to argue their case for what the flavor of the month is? :o |

As time goes on.
Are there MU Fans after football is over? Or old Normites wishing for the old days? |
I think this was meant to be posted in the realignment thread.

As long as you keep the memory of the gayhawks alive, in a way it lives on

Questions in response...
Does "K" still rhyme with "gay?" Are there still people in the world, in every state and team affiliation, that think that "gay," "reeruned" and other playground name calling is high comedy, only coming in second to silly nicknames that rhyme? |

No, that embarrassingly pathetic attempt at trash talk is still very much alive. Although, it might not be as popular on the MU campus these days.
