Cassel has a concussion.
Cassel has concussion
Posted by Mike Florio on October 7, 2012, 7:53 PM EDT Matt Cassel AP The official word after Sunday’s loss by the Chiefs to the Ravens was that quarterback Matt Cassel is being evaluated for a head injury. The evaluation has been completed. Per a league source, Cassel has a concussion. And so Cassel’s status will depend on evaluations and opinions from an independent neurologist, who must clear Cassel to practice and play. Until he’s cleared, he can do neither. |
He might finally get a taste of the headaches he is causing the Chiefs' fanbase.
|
I can only hope he's out next week in Tampa.
Ill be in attendance and would very much like to be able to cheer for my team. |
Maybe he'll join Boss on IR soon...
|
Hopefully, the independent neurologist will take his/her sweet ass time in evaluating that POS.
|
|
He's a ****ing sissy.
Matt Schuab took a disgusting hit and came back in the next play. I can almost guarantee you that he received a concussion. |
I am not cheering the injury but I hope he is a Boss.

Either way, Quinn will get first team reps. I think the Chiefs can actually position this as giving Quinn a tryout without committing to him.
I hate that that's the way this goes down, especially since that relies on Quinn to be balls next week. But at least it's opening a window. |

At what point did he hit his head? Anyone at the stadium see this differently?

Here's to hoping that it's hard to schedule an appointment with an independent neurologist.
|
Hip, hip Hooray!!!! Let's all do the Chiefs chopper!
After all, he's not REALLY hurt. He's faking it to gain sympathy or because he's a big f'n pussy and wants off the field. |

I still don't see where his head hit anything to get a concussion...

i think the new rule on concussions are that if you suffer one the week before, you have to set out a week before being able to play again

The funny thing is, with a concussion he actually has an excuse to play as badly as he does without a concussion.
|
Didn't the NFL change the rules on concussions to where you cannot play the next game regardless if you are medically cleared in a way to protect players from themselves?
|
Posted in another thread but a concussion makes sense. I saw him hit on his ass.

He's one tough hombre.
I fully expect him to start next Sunday. |

Look for Pisoli to deactivate Casshole so he'll be primed and fresh for the 2013 season!
|
If for some reason he's out for season and they pull the same shit they pulled last year where Cassel returns next year as the starter...I'm done with this team until Pioli and Cassel are gone.
|
Quinn will be worse.
1-15, here we come. DESTINY Thanks, Matt. Now get the **** out. |

That is what we are going to do in every game now. The D will raise their level of play and we'll lose a lose a lot of games 21-10 and 17-9. Remember the Broncos last year? We're about to roll out those same gameplans. Can't wait to see this embarrassing shit. Prepare to get SWEPT in the division. |

This team will win 3-4 games under quinn. Not because quinn is better but because the team will rally around him and pick up their play. |
How they figure it out?
Maybe they just realized he has been concussed since 2009? |
I hope he sincerely gets the proper treatment and comes ba.. I sincerely hope he gets the best treatment available.
|
Isn't Stanzi on IR or something? If Cassel can't play, who is Quinn's backup?

If there is a sniff of concussion-he can't be back that soon.
Why risk it. I was still amazed that he came back after the appendectomy. |

I'm torn about Matt. I am sick of watching him play, but I wanted him to continue to start and rack up 30+ INTs this season. |

I was fully expecting a separated shoulder, broken collarbone, sprained AC joint, hell, even some broken ribs. Don't know. Don't care. |
Quote:
Heck, he could even through a few INTs along the way and it would still be an improvement over the gigantic avalanche of INTs and quarterback fumbles we've been trying to overcome week after week. But, you're right. The team will also tend to rally to him which will help. The main thing is that we could add a semblance of a passing attack to our offense. And that, Mr. Mr_Tomahawk, could make a tremendous difference in this team ... on both sides of the ball. A solid play action would have eaten the Ratbirds alive today. FAX |

He'll be active if Quinn starts. |

They obviously don't trust Matt, so they run 50 times and throw 15. They obviously don't trust Quinn, or they'd start him over the guy they dialed the gameplan back to 1935 to protect. |

It did look as though his left shoulder took a shot. But, yeah. Whatever... |
best two left to QB this team .....
|
Pretty sure they were told Quinn was not to be put in unless injury
|
wow, i'm glad he survived that near death experience
i wonder if winston will ever recover from watching a teammate almost die? |

Quinn has looked better at every turn this year. Yet he still hasn't played.
Watch. We will rally the troops and go 8-3 from here out |

If I'm coaching the team, I'm doing it my way. Doing it Pioli's way is a death sentence. Doing it my way [i]might[/]be a death sentence, it may be a job saver. There's literally nothing for RAC to lose should he tell Pioli to STFD and STFU. |

The funny thing is if Cassel didn't fumble at the 1, the Chiefs probably win and Crennel's plan would've worked.
|
Quote:

crennel took the job knowing cassel was untouchable
he's the only person pathetic enough to do it Cassel is - still - untouchable |

We had that game won. It's really sad, because we had a definable chance to win that game and we'd all be one big happy family right now. |
And the safety we should have been awarded when, under pressure, Flacko intentionally grounded the ball from the endzone.

So even the Casselproof game plan wasn't Casselproof. Awesome. |
