Is Jeremiah Trotter just another Shawn Barber?
or do you think he'll actually do something for us on the field? :(
|
it all depends on whether Carl signs him or not...
|
the way they played together in Philly, Trotter may be the best option for us, I'm sure Trotter and Barber would work well together in KC just like they did in Philly!

I would say he's better, but even if he isn't.. he'll be a damn good leader for the defense I think.. they need someone on that side of the ball with some intensity

No, Trotter is another Bret Perriman.

Trotter and Barber did play together (before Barber came to KC) in Philly...IIRC.
I view Trotter as a more passionate leader, a better run-stopper, and a more sure tackler than Barber. Barber is faster, probably better in coverage....but Trotter would immediately be our best LB since Edwards, IMO. |
A upgrade but if he gets a big contract I'd worry.

Barber was in Washinton when Trotter was in Philli. And the two are in no way similar... |
Saying he'd be our best backer since Edwards is like saying Samari Rolle would be our best corner since Ray Crockett. Jesus, I hope for more than that.

I understand that Barber is a OLB, and Trotter a MLB...but both are LBs. Barber has more range and speed. Trotter is tougher against the run, and tackles with the best of them. That's all I was sayin'.... |
Is Jeremiah Trotter just another Shawn Barber?
No. If you mention this again, you will be banned. |
Trotter is a shitload better than Barber was when we got him. Barber was never really a key in Phillys D and never performed at the all-pro level than Trotter has in the past. He was just a guy that Philly plugged in for a season after Trotter left. He best year probably wasnt even as good as Trotters worst with Wash.

The big question is will he be able to regain his health? |
Are bananas just another fruit?

He was regarded by most as one of the top 2 or 3 linebackers available when the Chiefs signed him. He managed 112 tackles in GREG ROBINSON'S defense. Once again, the "what have you done for me lately" mentality causes people to repaint history. |
