Limo On The Way To Ge Trotter
 

According to Jack Harry's camerman at Arrowhead a limo with DV left to go get Trotter. That was about an hour ago but hadn't seen anything on here about it. Take it for what it's worth.

It was to take Trooter to the airport to show him "no hard feelings" after DV told him he was asking too much. or something like that. :)

Please don't take this offensively...but this play-by-play obsession we have with free agents has gotten hilarious.


I heard Trotter asked the limo to drive thru at McD's and he ordered fish sandwhich and a large Coke...... what do you think that means????

Actually, it means that he's about to pull a pellet gun on some kid so he won't "fit the profile" anymore. He must figure that's the only way to get DV to leave him alone. This only confirms that no major FA will ever want to come to KC. :(

Sorry, the front office considered that but when they offered the peelers half the going rate for lap dances they were thrown out of the club.

I heard they were only bringing Law along to get a close parking spot.

I heard they're going to drive by Whitlock's house (with Law not knowing), slow down to 30mph, and throw Law out onto his lawn with a ribbon attached to the back of his wheelchair that says, "GO fuck YOURSELF, LOVE DICK AND CARL."

Mortensen said on SportsCenter that it seems the Eagles were too wary to re-sign Trotter to a big deal because of his knees (what caused everybody to pass on him last offseason).... he didn't say a deal was imminent but made it pretty clear we are the front runner. Also said we had Rolle in and were gonna look at Ty Law tomorrow....

Metro Sports also covered it but they took an "anybody's guess" approach. Dave Stewart leaned toward Trotter re-signing with the Eagles, so I don't think he knows anymore than the rest of us.

I saw the latest Sports Center and Mort kind of back-peddled from his earlier statement. Earlier he made it sound it was all but done, I noticed we both had an earlier thread on it, so I wanted to get your take on his latest comments compared to earlier.

I still think we have a good shot at Trotter, I just think Mort jumped the gun.

Well, I bet he was glad you were there to clean up the mess.

I would say it's a safe bet that since Carl was out of town, Denny only worked the #'s and if Trotter wants to be in KC, an announcement will come tomorrow if Carl is in town.

I think we have a great shot, but I think it's bad journalism to say a "deal is imminent" when he wasn't even in town yet.

His agent likely leaked that info for one of 2 reasons.
1) To get the news out there to the Eagles so they increase their offer
2) Because Trotter really wants to be a Chief

I guess we will find out tomorrow.
