Damn. I like him.

Makes no sense to me. They already had Wilson, Williams, Spragan, Pierce, Sykes, and Chukwurah. That was already their strongest position. What are they going to do, switch to the ol' 1-6 defense?

Also said that Samari Rolle will have a deal done Thursday...just have to wait to see who he signs with.

This offseason they're going to try and copy the Patriots and go 3-4.... I guess they're trying to stock up on LB's.

Seems like a good move to me, but do they have the DL to do it?

Shame Gold signed with Denver so fast.

I am not so sure Gold is a good fit for a 3-4. Be interesting if Warren plays DE or NT. Realistically Trevor Price would be a really good fit for a 3-4 End but they are trading him.

The article in their paper this morning said they were sticking with a 4-3 base, with a little 3-4 mixed in. It said they were trying to re-sign Ellis Johnson to play next to Warren at tackle.

Yeah I just went over to the Mane to see reaction to this move, I guess that might be the case. Doesn't seem like too many Bronco fans are happy about this move, there are some that suggest that maybe they plan to move Gold to safety. I don't know about that though...

Im not sure if I like this or not. I thought he said he wanted to come play for Gunther and that he likes Gunther. Does anybody know if the Chiefs have a deal on the table for him yet ???

And whats goin on with Trotter right now, I thought we was close to reachin a deal with him ???

You know, it wouldn't surprise me in the least to find out that Trotter and the Chiefs have come to an agreement, but won't say anything until Carl gets back.

Big signing like this, the King wouldn't want the regent (Denny) gettin' all the run.

Seriously....coming into the draft he was viewed as a guy to small to play LB and a better fit for saftey..he's 6-0 230ish...he's got speed and he hit's.....he can play saftey.

Denver has had great success at two positions over the years ... RB and LB. They've also been equally riddled with injuries at those positions.

I have no issues with this signing. Everything I've read pointed to using a mix of 4-3 / 3-4 next season. Also, they want to be more versatile with their players... moving them from one position or another, depending on the situation.

Who knows how all of this will play out... I just know it's never a bad thing to have a guy with Gold's talent on your defense.

Plus he would do it just too keep the fans in suspense I think too. If anything to get back at Fatlock for the rally.

And the key word there is versatile. Not just in game situation...but through the whole season. Gold is going to help us with matchups.

It does burn my ass to lose Berry, now Hayward and then they're still talking about trading Pryce.

Losing Hayward and Pryce in an offseason where Dline was our top concern... that just confuzzles me.
