Travis Taylor anyone?

OK, OK,... I know we must sign 'D' FAs. But we still could improve our WR situation. Wouldn't he be an improvement?

Plus, HIS NAME SOUNDS AWEFULLY CLOSE TO "OTIS TAYLOR!" (I'm kinda vain that way ;) )

Saulbadguy 03-03-2005 12:47 PM

Naw.

Cormac 03-03-2005 12:49 PM

No thanks. He was a major bust at Baltimore after being picked #10. He is just another in a long line of failed UF WRs.

Spicy McHaggis 03-03-2005 12:49 PM

I don't think he is any better than what we've got.

eazyb81 03-03-2005 12:50 PM

Personally, I would give him and David Terrell a look. They won't be expected to put up big numbers, yet they could still be solid players. Both of them had high potential but just didn't pan out with their first teams, why not give them a look?

teedubya 03-03-2005 12:51 PM

I think people named Travis are totally kick-ass people...

Phobia 03-03-2005 12:52 PM

If he'd take vet min to rejuvinate his career? Why not?

ChiefsCountry 03-03-2005 12:54 PM

Put it this way, the Ravens have no passing game and he was their number one receiver. So I say no.

He also had Kyle Boller throwing him the ball. I would certainly take a look at him, he will be cheap.

I wouldn't mind giving David Terrell a look, but not Travis Taylor. Terrell was really good in college, and not bad in the NFL when he actually had a quarterback. And he would come CHEAP.

If I had to pick one player name that shouted "CHIEFS", it would be OTIS TAYLOR. I'm just intrigued (vainly) in TT's name, playing the same position as Otis. If a change of scenery and the right WR coaching can bring out his potential, I'd like it to be with the Chiefs. He can't be that expensive and we ARE going to bring in another WR one way or another anyway.

Can somebody post his stats. I want to see how it compares to Morton's.

Terrell didn't really have bad stats in Chicago, he just had some dumb penalties and wasn't very good with the media. I think it would be worth it to at least take a look at him. We don't really have to have a #1 WR, but a guy to add some depth would be nice.

Exactly...he can't be worse than Morton, and he comes a lot cheaper. I really don't see why Morton hasn't been cut. The guy is one of the most worthless overpaid players in the NFL.

Travis "Hands o' Stone" Taylor?

No thank you, not even at vet minimum.

He clanked off of everyone that threw for Baltimore while he was there. You think Morton drops some, wait until you watch Taylor drop a sure touchdown once or twice and you'll be dreaming about the good ol' days of Johnny "The Worm" Morton.

Bleeeech.

I'd like to revise my response in #7. I'll trust MCF's analysis.
