What if one of these guys slips????

Ive been hearing the past few days that one of these guys may slip to the middle of Round 1.

Aaron Rogers: If he doesnt get picked #1 overall he may slip to the middle of round 1

Antrel Rolle: The Titans like "Pac Man" the most. The SKins really dig Carlos Rogers, so he may slip to 10-12, who knows??

Mike Williams: Teams seemed concerned with his lack of speed. He may slip to the middle of the pack as well...

It would be hard to pass up one of those guys at #15...who would you select??

chiefsfolife 04-21-2005 09:38 PM

antrei rolle

nychief 04-21-2005 09:38 PM

Aaron Rogers - watch him slip to the Packers.

Tribal Warfare 04-21-2005 09:39 PM

Derrick Johnson or Merriman

if Mike Williams happen to fall to 15 - I don't care who is on the board. I want the chiefs to take him.

my feelings as well....Man, we need Defense in a huge way, but if hes sitting there at #15, that would be enticing.

Williams will fall to 15. I'll almost guarantee it.

Depends on what causes them to slip.

If they slip on ice they may be hurt and not worth having.

You know DV and company lust after a playmaking wideout like that too. They know they need defense but it doesn't have them sporting wood like a playmaking wideout would.

We have a flag on the field

dry humor - 15 yards from the spot of the post

assuming we get Surtain I take Rolle and Williams for sure....don't give a crap about the QB

Rain Man 04-21-2005 10:23 PM

Rolle would be my top player in the entire draft. I'd take Aaron Rodgers if he slipped, too. I wouldn't go ballistic if Williams was taken, either.

el borracho 04-21-2005 10:31 PM

If I had my choice of Rolle, Rogers and Williams I would take Williams. Why? Because the offense is old and I would be happy with a 2nd round CB such as Green or Browner.

Archie Bunker 04-21-2005 10:36 PM

IMO if Williams or Rogers slip you find a team that wants them bad and trade down.

Trade down and turn Williams into 2 picks that can the defense.

Rolle would be great at 15 if it happened.

TRR 04-21-2005 11:46 PM

My perfect draft would be:
(1) Mike Williams
(2) Patrick Surtain
(3) Best available defensive player

I really believe we are one WR short of a historical offense.

If Williams falls to number #15 and we already have Surtain in the bag, it should be automatic. Williams and Surtain would make me one happy camper.

TRR, I'm with you on this!!! That would be an excellent draft.

I'm a little leary of QB Rogers ... he does not seem to be a top flight QB. Also, I've seen the Chiefs draft too many failed QB.

But, if we don't get Surtain, and Rolle is there then he is a must.

htismaqe 04-22-2005 05:26 AM

NO MIKE WILLIAMS

Seriously, the guy dominated in college because of physical talent. He runs poor routes, he isn't quick out of his breaks, he lacks breakaway speed -- the guy doesn't even begin to fit our offense.

And because of our needs on defense, we are already sporting a historical defense.
Hell, what's one more year.

Let the 2005 career days commence! :banghead:

ct 04-22-2005 07:12 AM

Aaron Rodgers - HELL NO!!! Not only do we have no need for a 1st round QB prospect, this guy has bust written all over him.

Antrel Rolle - HELL YEAH!!! Despite the fact he's a UofM potential thug, and his agent is a notorious PunkAzzBiatch, he's a steal at 15.

Mike Williams - do I really even need to go there? NO, NO, NO!!!

Gaz 04-22-2005 07:18 AM

Sucks to be you, OffHo's...

My perfect draft would be:

1) Defense
2) Defense
3) Defense

Still remembers last season far too clearly.

Join the club. Oh wait, there already is a club...

We're in a tough spot this offseason. We need to add proven veteran leaders to our D. We need to add youth to our O.

Watching the ESPN special last night, I began to think that a really good option would be Mike Williams at 15, and Surtain with our 2nd rounder.

I'm still hoping for Carlos Rodgers, though.

No way the Vikings pass up Williams.

KChiefs1 04-22-2005 07:45 AM

"IF" the Surtain deal gets done & there isn't a defensive player that we want on the board....DRAFT MIKE WILLIAMS!

I can also see trading down though but Williams is going to be great in the NFL! :p
