AFCW Predictions
How do you see the AFC West shaking out this year?
I predict the Rai ders and Bron cos to have dysfunctional years. I predict the Chargers to be tough. I am ever hopeful for the Chiefs, and it looks like there are legitimate reasons to be hopeful. Chiefs Chargers Rai ders Bron cos |
I think it'll be the Chiefs and the Chargers battling for the AFCW division title. I think the Raiders and Broncos will be at the bottom, but, both teams will have subpar records.
here's how i think the AFCW will turn out: Chiefs 12-4 Chargers 10-6 Broncos 9-7 Raiders 8-8 |
If I have to put some records on the standings.
Chiefs 12-4 Chargers 11-5 Raiders 9-7 Broncos 8-8 |
It is still early, and I reserve the right to change my prediction if Bell rips off Bulger's head during the Chiefs-Rams preseason game. With that said, here are my predictions:
Chiefs 11-5 Chargers 10-6 Broncos 8-8 Raiders 7-9 |
chiefs 16-0
Chargers 8-8 Broncos 7-9 Raiders- 5-11 |
Chiefs 16-0
Chargers 3-13 Raiders 2-14 Broncos 1-15 |

I for one don't see Oakland or Denver threatening for the AFCW crown. Oakland is just a damned mess, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is about Denver that makes me feel that way. They kind of remind me of the Chiefs from last year, when we stood pat in the offseason. I know Denver didn't go that route, but it can be argued that the talent they brought in is equal to or less than what they already had on their roster. Shanny pulled some real head scratchers, not the least of which is Maurice Clarrett. This kid will either solidify Shanny being a genious (CPS), or it will sink him. |
Its going to be bunched up at the very top, i dont think the difference between first and last will be more than 3 games. Every team has a relatively difficult schedule this year so i dont see the division champion winning more than 10 games. I also cant see any time, assuming no injuries, winning less than 7. I can see any team winning the division and any team being last. Its really that close. I still think SD is the best team but they have the toughest schedule.
|
I think it'll be you guys and the donkeys fighting for first. The chargers I think were a fluke last year and the raiders just suck
Chiefs 10-6 :Broncos: 9-7 Chargers 7-9 Raiders 5-11 |

SD and Oakland won't win it because of their schedule. Denver and KC get the majority of their tough teams at home while SD and Oakland have to do it on the road.
KC- 10-11 wins Denver- 9-10 SD- 7-8 Oak- 5-6 |
In the AFCW, I don't think it'll be as much of a horse race as the experts say it will be. I think the Chiefs schedule isn't going to be quite as hard either. The NFL seems to turn upside down year after year. Oakland will be overrated, even with Moss. San Diego will experience a sofmore jinx. Denver will prove that they are falling apart, have made terrible offseason moves and Shanahan is no genius without Elway.
Chiefs 14-2 Oakland 8-8 San Diego 8-8 Denver 6-10 |
Chargers 12-4
Broncos 10-6 Chiefs 7-9 Raiders 6-10 |

He is a real threat, no doubt, and their new RB (why can't I think of his name right now?) gives them a shot at a ground game, though he's never proven he can carry the load, backing up Martin. But thier D has a legitimate chance at being worse than the Chiefs over the last couple of years. |
I have to give the chargers credit for their outstanding turnaround under Marty Shotty. He'll have SD competing again this year. But, I'm still sticking with my sig line.
Den 11-5 SD 10-6 Oak 9-7 KC 8-8 |
Chiefs 12-4
Chargers 11-5 Raiders 9-7 Broncos 7-9 I can't even see the broncos posing a threat after their offseason antics with not only the browns reject D-Line but three corners and maurice clarrett in the draft. Mike Shannahan in my opinion has lost it but every division game wil be tough. Raiders will be ok this season they still will have no running game but their passing game will be improved. The chargers just added too much talent this offseason for me to believe they wont be back in there again in the playoffs but as a wildcard. And of course I believe the chiefs have tied up the loose ends with signing ambrose andf I think we can finally focus on signing our other draft pics and mini camp. I believe that the chiefs will prove many wrong this season and fans of arrowhead will rejoice with a superbowl trophy in our stadium. I said it before I think itll be Chiefs v. Falcons in Detroit. And the running backs name in Oakland is LaMont Jordan :banghead: |
Chiefs 16-0
Chargers 1-15 Raiders 1-15 Broncos 1-15 with SD,Oak,Den winning against each other at home. |
Chiefs 12-4
chargers 10-6 broncos 7-9 raiders 6-10 |
Chiefs 11-5
Chargers 9-7 Broncos 8-8 Raider 7-9 Takawira, clean out your CP mailbox, you ****in trashbag. |
chiefs 12-4
chargers 10-6 bronk hoes 9-7 raidas 5-11 |
-Chiefs 12-4 I think even though our offense is prolly on its way out, I think our Defense will show up this year. With both Offense and Defense playing some good ball this year, we will be a threat.
-Chargers 10-6 They may have been a fluke last year, but it prolly gave them a boatload of confidence. I don't think they will do any better than second in the AFCW, but I don't think they are going to implode either. -Broncos 8-8 I don't think the Broncos did enough in the offseason. They brought in an unproven line, then there is the whole Maurice Clarrett thing, and I think that Plummer is about to show us how over-rated he is. -Raiders 4-12 With or without Moss, who cares? They are the Raiders for crying out loud. The will suck just as bad this year as they did last year. |
The Raiders are the only team in the AFCW that will have less than 8 wins in my opinion. The other 3 will be knotted up in the 9-11 win area.
Too early to get too specific on wins/losses. |

Yeah I might be giving the raiders a tad too much credit but bottom line is they still wont make the playoffs.

**** the faiders

Chiefs 12-4
Chargers 10-6 Broncos 7-9 Raiders 6-10 Chiefs have everything in place, just need to avoid the injury bug( Knock on wood) Chargers will be tough but need to prove themselves 2 years in a row to be a real threat the broncos have outdone themselves again with crappy drafting and leatherface's complacency in the shake up department and the raiders will inevitably be the chiefs of 2003 with alot of O but no defense to speak of |
Chiefs 11-5
Chargers 10-6 Raiders 8-8 Donx 8-8 |
I'm gonna go with:
KC 11-5 SD 9-7 Den 8-8 Oak 6-10 |
KC 12-4
SD 10-6 Den 7-9 Oak 5-11 |
KC 11-5
Asses 9-7 Bolts 9-7 Gayders 3-13 |

Tough division:
KC 12-4 (just say "NO" to 13-3!) SD 10-6 DEN 9-7 OAK 6-10 :D |
I think some of the smoke and mirrors comes off of the Chargers luster. Add to the what were they thinking file "Broncos sign the Browns Dline."
Chiefs 11-5 Chargers 8-8 Broncos 7-9 Raiders 0-16 Ok, I don't believe the last one, but I can hope. |
I predict:
Chiefs Raiders Chargers Broncos The Chargers will be this years dissapointment. The Raiders will improve, and the Broncos are just the suck this year. |
My predictions for the upcoming season...
Chiefs 10-6 (we have a very tough schedule..maybe 11-5) Broncos 9-7 (they're schedule is so weak, I think they play Emporia St.) Chargers 9-7 (tough schedule and tough to repeat Brees' 05 numbers) Raiders 6-10 (even if they had Moss and Owens) |

True, but 5 of the broncos' first 8 games are at home. Maybe It's because I think our first 4-weeks are brutal. Jets (playoff team) at home, then on the road to a national audience night game (first home game for Moss), then road game at Denver, then home to Philly.....that's not going to be easy. I just dont see a stretch like that anywhere on the Broncos' schedule.

@Dallas- possibly @KC- in December, enough said Baltimore- a high school team dressed in Ravens uniforms would find a way to beat Denver @Buffalo- see @KC Oakland- possible breather @SD- division or playoff spot on the line for both? That's not an easy stretch by any imagination. I also don't like Denver getting both their Florida games in Weeks 1 and 4. I think KC's is the easiest, followed by Denver's. |
