Ouch, tough call... to be honest, I think they almost look identical to each other.
When Pirates of the Carribean first came out, I thought the girl in the trailer and on the poster was Natalie Portman. If I had to choose one, I would say Natalie Portman, just because I've seen her in more movies. |

As a huge fan of Audrey Hepburn, I am still waiting for the new Audrey. It's funny that your poll talks about the two I consider closest to Audrey in class and beauty. I would have gone a bit more readily with Portman. But her stripper role in "Closer" kinda reduces the class/innocence of her image. Therefore I will call this poll a tie in my book.

This is so close. You have to realise that these are my two PERFECT women.
Natalie: There can be no better example of talent and beauty than you see with Natalie. She is also a very smart girl, and has a great sense of humor, which can sometimes be a bit self depricating, so you know she isn't stuck up. She seems honestly humbled by all the admiration that she recieves, and that speaks well of her. Also, she has done some AMAZING work in the past few years (Garden State, Closer). These two performances put her in the top actresses working today, IMO. She has several good performances under her belt going as far back as her work as a kid in "Leon: The Proffessional." It just doesn't get any better than Natalie Portman. If you go right now to Webster's Dictionary and look up the word "beauty," you should see something like this: Main Entry: beau·ty Pronunciation: 'byü-tE Function: noun --the quality or aggregate of qualities in a person or thing that gives pleasure to the senses or pleasurably exalts the mind or spirit : See also: LOVELINESS or KEIRA KNIGHTLY To me, she is one of the few women in the history of time that this word was made for. If I was forced to look at only one thing for the rest of my life, it would be her... Smiling like no one else can. I abstain. :) |
