Why do we even have cheerleaders?

This has been discussed countless times.

Several people subscribe to the notion that it's just bad photography.

Personally, I think we have a bunch of skanks.

i would not kick 85% of them out of bed... up close and personal they are good, many arent photogenic though.

Good point. Most due not have the best looking faces but the bodies are decent. Besides, I am not putting my pee pee on their faces if you now what I mean. Or maybe I would.

It's always bad photography when you're pointing the camera at nasty beasts like that.

I think it's a combination of bad photography and some ugly chicks. There are girls there who would look excellent in a lot of other photo shoots but there are definately some there who should have been sent packing as well.

Man that sounds terrible, but the reality is that cheerleaders are picked to look hot, and some chicks just don't have it.

Ease up alittle. They are not all ugly. As a matter of fact, I live across the street from one of them, and she is neither ugly or a skank.

The sad thing is that a large majority of them list KU as their college.

Laura W, Amy, and Annie are the only ones I would classify as attractive (based on a cursory glance at the head shots).

That Shanna H. should be kicked off the team for looking too much like John Elway.

Most of them look like they've been beaten with a bag of nickels. A few of them look like they've been beaten with a bag of hammers. And a very few of them look like they might be decent in person.

Also, I didn't know KC had a ban on tanning beds.

Eh, as long as they have decent bodies, it's alright for me. I can see the bodies from upper leval, not their faces.

I've known Kara and Natalie for a long time. Both went to Olathe North and danced on the drill team with a couple of other friends of mine. They are both awesome girls and I think they are both attractive. Niether of them are "cover of Elle" hot, but they are both extremely good dancers and have several awards and a couple national championships for drill team.

I think other teams put more of a premium on getting model-hot girls, and less of a premium on dancing. It seems strange though because the routines that they do are far less complicated than what my friends are capable of.

Someone in the Chiefs organization is deluding herself if she thinks dancing should rank above looks in the selection process.

I'm willing to bet 99% of the people that pay any attention to the cheerleaders could give two shits if they can dance or not. If you can shake your tits, you can dance as far as I'm concerned.

I could be in love with Shauntel... if she'd just drop the restraining order...

I can see both sides of this argument. Yes, professional cheerleaders are supposed to be attractive, but I don't think they should be there primarily for guys to oogle. If that's their only purpose, then we should just get rid of them. The fact is, today's crowds are so large, and the game has gotten so big, that we really don't need "cheerleaders" to get us to cheer for our team anymore. We get pretty hyped on our own... So, they've kinda become a side show.

These girls are from the Midwest, after all.

at one time, perhaps they were there to get the crowds excited about the game, but now their only purpose is to get the crowds "excited"

I caught most of the NFL networks “Miami Cheerleader selections” or something like that and all I can say is, WOW, WOW, WOW…. Barooooooooooooga. Good lord are they brutal in their selection process, but good Gawd damn are they some fine azz honeys.

Not gonna happen. Most jobs within the Chiefs organization are lifetime assignments - including photographer.

But they can dance.

Most of them look great in person, they are forced to wear that shitty make-up and over the top red lipstick... Trying to get my friend liz to hook me up with Trisha on the team...

Erin was my daughter's 2nd Grade teacher the first year we lived here in Columbia, and i can tell you that the pics do her no justice. In person she is a very attractive, and is well put together. I recently took my daughter to one of the clinics that they put on and can tell you that there are several that look much better in person than in the photos.

One of the girls who works for me used to be a cheerleader. I tried to get her to bring in a picture but she never would. She's embarassed of the change.

Heck, she's in her mid 50's now, and probably has lost some of her looks. Actually, I would have never guessed she used to be a cheerleader based on how she looks now. About 5'5" and 200lbs.

WTF, out of a city the size of KC, this is the best they could do? I could find 25 better looking women in my hometown of 6000 people. We need to start a petition. This is embarassing.

I wish that there were a whole lot more guys on this earth that thought girls like this were unattractive. Then they would all "settle" for me.

Erin looks like the Runaway bride.......ha ha check out those eyes....looks like she has been blowing up ballons for the past year or something.

Mandy is hot......she is the only one that is half way decent.

Erin is another one of those girls that is SMOKING hot in person. The first time I met her was at the draft party when we got Ryan Sims. All the cheerleaders came out and introduced themselves to the crowd. Later on, I went to talk to Kara and Natalie, and they introduced me briefly to Erin and couple of the other girls. I was pretty taken back by how cute she was (is)...

CORRECTION: (my memory sucks). It isn't Erin that I'm thinking of, it was Laura W.

Just looked through some of her pics, and some of those are REALLY terrible. Tons of makeup, straight on pics with sidelight. In one, she actually has a lazy eye! That's freaking hysterical. Why would they use that shot?

I actually don't agree, seems like they could find a few with decent chest to waist proportions but no. You should check out the Charger, Raider, and Dolphin cheerleaders.:drool:

Honestly in some magazines I have seen a transvestite and a transexual from England that are much, much, much better looking than this hag. Yes I called her a hag.

No doubt those girls are hotter on average... but these girls are MUCH better looking than those photos indicate. Here's proof.

Keep in mind that these girls actually look good as they walk down the stairs to get their picture taken. Somewhere around the time that the photographer clicks the camera is when things go downhill...

Those girls work for free.........what do you expect? Actually, they do for very little of nothing..............how many ladies that age could take the time for all the training and workouts and still work? Not many.....hence, you got to be a CA gal or Texas gal with money so they can just play with Dads money and not work.:hmmm: IMO

My theory is that the choreographer that picks them is so into the muscular look, they've been hitting the steroids. Lots of square jaws in that lot.

So I saw this banner and thought to myself ..damn, at some point in time the Chiefs had a few hot cheerleaders. Imagine that!? So I went back on here to try and find when the decline started. Turns out we've been moaning about the standard of them since at least 2005 and probably earlier.

We've got xQc in drag on our cheerleading squad. What is going on here!? Unacceptable.
