Okay, when nights get slow, I like to open a thread that has no predefined topic. Whatcha wanna talk about?

Coach 07-17-2005 01:12 AM

Well, for starters, how come you're up so late?

I'm a night owl. During the week, I don't usually get home from work until about 1AM. I'm not usually tired, so I get on here. I tend to have the same sleep schedule on the weekends. You?

Logical 07-17-2005 01:17 AM

The true definition of a nite crew thread, too bad the nite crew is pretty much a thing of the past.

Well, let's just say that my sleeping pattern is pretty much screwed up.

Damned 1p.m. to 3p.m. naps.

Naw, I just think that they're either on vacation and just want to enjoy their sleep and all.

Speaking of someone, I haven't seen TK13 in a while. Wonder what happened to him/her. :hmmm:

Especially when you're outside in the mornings for at least 2 hours or so. That can take a toll on you, and whenever I come home from that, adding in lunch, can make you tired, that's for sure.

People have no idea that never experienced it. We could keep 5 or 6 threads going and easily put up 300 posts in an hour on one thread. There were about 20 to 25 of us all total in and out. A lot are still posting but certainly have given up on the nite crew. Some of the nite crew were:

Endelt
PastorMikh
KcMizzou
JOhn
MrKotter
2bikemike
raiderhader
LVNHACK
Boozer
Joe Seahawk
Ugly Duck
Sidewinder
Taco John
Psicosis
ZachKC

The company, as a whole, does several things. Collectively, it's a healthcare solutions company. Design and sell software for hospitals that makes medical records managable electronically. The production side takes the medical records from hospitals all over the country, preps them, scans them, indexes them, and either puts them on CD to store or send back to the hospital or stores them in a data warehouse that hospitals can access online. I'm the assistant supervisor over the production side on second shift.

I don't know how you guys can stand to function on 3 or 4 hours of sleep on a Sunday. I did that a few dozen times during high school and college and always loathed it.

Heck, it was downright dangerous, I woke up breezing through a red light at an intersection once. Adrenaline surged and I slammed on the brakes. THAT woke me up.

It's difficult, but I had no problems trying to stay up that late, if necessarly, for school, or doing a work project. I just take in a dip of chew. It pretty much keeps ya awake for the most part.

The older you get, the less sleep you need. You learn also how to function on less sleep because there lots of things to get done and only so many hours in a day. Working in health care, I have the not so fun pleasure of seeing folks die too. Some of them well before their time. I figure life is too short to sleep away. I'll get all the sleep I need when I'm dead.

Alright. Let's see what was behind the doors you didn't choose first.

Behind door #1 http://img323.imageshack.us/img323/4373/14gj.jpg
was THIS .....

http://img323.imageshack.us/img323/7167/chair5fz.jpg
*Wah-Wah-Wah* Some old dude in rocking chair.

Behind door #3 http://img323.imageshack.us/img323/3768/35cx.jpg
was ...

A self propelled lawn mower!!!

http://img323.imageshack.us/img323/8889/goat3pj.jpg

*Wah-Wah-Wah*

And what was behind door #2 http://www.tvgameshows.net/montycoat.jpg that you opted to trade away? http://img323.imageshack.us/img323/1162/23fd.jpg

http://img323.imageshack.us/img323/4202/bob0kc.jpg

*Wah-Wah-Wah* "I must have taken a wrong turn and ended up in the wrong studio! Oh well. Don't forget to have your pets spayed and neutered everybody!"

So that leaves us with what's behind the box the lovely Carroll Merrill is standing next to.
http://img323.imageshack.us/img323/7049/box4ys.jpg

And behind that box we have .........

MONEY! LOTS AND LOTS OF MONEY!

http://img323.imageshack.us/img323/9542/winner0ja.jpg

And you get to keep Carroll as well. ENJOY!
