Who's in? I know we already have a few. This will be are 6th year and last year UTChief won it all with over 30 participating. It has been a lot of fun and I am looking forward to trying to win my 2nd as well. The rules will be posted when we put up the official sight but basically the odds are posted and most payouts are at 90% unless otherwise noted. You start out with 10k and we will move up the maximum bet to 5k seeing how tight the competition was coming down to the last few weeks last year. Phil may approach the way we put this together a little different this year but if not we will have a web page to place bets. Here are the people I already know are in.

there'll be seperate forum set up soon...it's easy, they use Vegas lines..you can bet straight up/money line/ and under-over on scoring....you start with $10,000 and bet any game/s you want each week...

I'm just adding them to the thread header, we have 24 right now and we will close it at 47 as pevious winners should have an extra chance to get in as well as Russ for running it last year. I will also e-mail you my # in case you ever need it. I don't know if Phil was following up on the vbookie thing either so you should PM him before beginning. You know how it has worked in the past but I will put together the rules again and e-mail them to you tomorrow so you can post them. Thanks again for running with this.

I don't care how you run it, really, as long as I'm in, but I'll point out that last year we had a whole bunch of people who were "in" but never made a single bet. After 10 weeks or whatever, Russ just axed 'em right off the list

So take all these statements of interest with a little grain of salt. When the time comes to lay down the fake monay, you may find that a whole bunch of people don't participate after all.

That will work. And yeah, make sure you post the rules. I want to make sure I get the vig and the money bets right.

3 weeks no betting your out, that's the rule. It does get easier to run as the season moves forward with some people not participation and other spontaneously combusting. Hopefull every one that says their in is as other would like to take their place. If your not serious guys don't play.

That's reasonable. Don't know if you want to allow anyone to join in after 3 weeks as "replacements" for people that get the boot. Whatever, I'll leave this administrative crapola to you. :D

Were going to hit 50 this year the cutoff point. There are not many spots left so if for any reason anybody decides they don't want their spot say so because I am sure somebody else would use it. I threw Russ and headsnap in as headsnap has won twice and should have the option of playing. I also threw Russ in because he ran it last year and should also have that option. If either of those two do not want to play please say something. I still don't know how to get a hold of Russ.

Gambling thread Rules

1. You are given 10k to start out and can bet up to 5k on any one bet. There is a $500 minimum bet unless you have less than that in which case you would be all in.
2. Payouts are at 90% unless otherwise stated. –170 would mean you have to bet $170 to win $100. +250 would mean you would get a $250 payout on every $100 bet.
3. You must bet at least once every 3 weeks or you are eliminated. If you cannot commit to participating at least this much please let us know now so somebody else can take your place.
4. Contingency bets are allowed.
5. There are no parlays
6. All bets must be placed before the start of the game.
7. You can also change your original bet as long as that game has not kicked off yet, BUT DO NOT EDIT YOUR ORIGINAL POST. If you wish to change your bet, create a new post stating what your original bet was and what you want to change it to. Any other method will not be allowed and the original bet will stand!

Big Daddy, I got your PM, but can't answer you until you empty your PM folders as they are full. I'll just post my response here.

Pretty good. I have a spreadsheet now that will calculate the wins/losses for each week. I just need to populate it with all the peoples names and each weeks games. The formulas are all in place.

A couple of questions though.
1. Do I take the 10% vig from all winning bets? I wasn't sure if the money bets do this.
2. Where do I get the weekly lines?

IF you bet the Chiefs in this game you will get 3 points but will have to bet $120 to get a $100 payout. If you bet the Rams you would be giving up 3 points but your payout would be even and would receive $100 for ever $100 you bet.
