Not winning is one thing....getting spanked by Gus Frerott is...well thats almost embarrasing.

I can't remember where I heard it, but some sports nerd had Denver finishing last in the AFC West. I think a few things factored in. It was hot and muggy and the QB sucks. I'll wait until after we play them in 2 weeks before I say they're really bad.

We have historically played terrible in Florida.

i think they bought into the hype about how bad Miami was and came in lazy.

Yeah, listening to the Donx whine about the weather is hilarious.

They were further handicapped by the Tags-led conspiracy that forced them to don dark uniforms in such horrific conditions.

Any excuse is lame. I'm just responding to the question. Florida is a hard place for our team to play. History has beared that out.

And as far as that goes, I think Plummer is really that bad. I've made absolutely zero excuses for him.

Well, its been a while since you did make an excuse for Jake, just took you a while to figure out what we were all right about.

Yeah, I won't say they are that bad. It was only one week. There were lots of surprises yesterday. I wouldn't say the Jets were that bad, I bet they'll be there in the end. Same with Carolina, Rams (week division). I think. I mean, I don't know for sure, no one does, but if I were a fan of a losing team yesterday I wouldn't be concerned, it was just one week. If it were the playoffs or the Super Bowl for each losing team yesterday, then I would be ticked.

I don't think the Denvers, the Jets, and the Carolinas of the league are going to go away easily, but I hope I'm wrong...

Speaking of playing in Miami, have those guys EVER come to Arrowhead in the last two decades? It seems we always play them there

It sounds lame, but they just don't seem capable of winning in Florida... Miami, Jacksonville... it just hasn't happened in a long time for whatever reasons.

I don't know what the issues are, but I'll hold off and see how the next few weeks go before I write off the season.

I don't know what you're talking about. I've been off the Jake bandwagon for almost a full year now. I'm despised by some on the Mane for my criticism of Plummer.

Plummer made some errors, but it's not like Lelie, Putz and company didn't have their share of drops. Lelie pulled up on the one long pass in the first half that was a sure TD.

I was surprised that Anderson had nothing prior to getting hurt, then aside from Bell's first run, he certainly didn't look like much. Rod, as usual, was the only form of consistency.

Bailey looked good prior to getting hurt... and at times the Dline looked tough. We'll see how it unfolds the next few weeks.

It seems as if the weather was the same for both teams. Why would Taco whine? Excuses are the game of the day for Denver.

I'm not using the weather as an excuse... Denver has a similar advantage at home with the altitude. Shit happens and yesterday it hit an industrial sized fan on the Denver sideline.

I'm not whining about the weather. I'm just stating what it was, and complaining that our offense wasn't good enough to keep our defense off of the 115 degree field for 12 of the 15 minutes in the quarter. I'm not suprised they melted down in those conditions.

I put it on our offense, not the weather. But I disregard any opinions of people who don't think the weather factored in. Those people are dumb****s.

They were. Except that they're better acclimated for it, as they practice in it. They really struggled until the end of the third quarter, when our defense finally collapsed under the weight of the conditions and injury. Our offense had no answer for their defense either.

Regarding the oline ... maybe time has caught up to them, but I'll wait until I see how they do next week vs the Chargers and in week 3 vs the Chiefs prior to freaking out.

Gibbs was in Atlanta last year and Denver's oline/ground game did well. It's just 1 game.

5 shots from inside the 5 and come away with a donut...dunno, that would worry me just a little first game or tenth.

I think the serious problems they are having at the QB & RB positions can be largely attributed to a really serious offensive line problem.
