What's up with Denver?
Are they really that bad, or was the Miami game just a fluke?
|
i think they are really that bad
|
They are also like the chiefs in that they can never win in Miami.
|
They suck?
At least they did yesterday.... :p |

I can't remember where I heard it, but some sports nerd had Denver finishing last in the AFC West. I think a few things factored in. It was hot and muggy and the QB sucks. I'll wait until after we play them in 2 weeks before I say they're really bad.
|
We have historically played terrible in Florida.
|
they had really bad weather....no one could overcome that kind of weather....

if we spank them in week three then we will know if they suck or not
|
i think they bought into the hype about how bad Miami was and came in lazy.
|
Somewhere in between [as is usually the case]...
They are not as bad at losing 34-10 to [giggle] Miami would indicate. They are also not as good as the pundits and an undefeated preseason would indicate. They have serious problems at QB & RB, and that is going to kill them in the long run, IMO. Still, that will not stop me from guffawing uproariously that the lost to [giggle] Miami 34-10. xoxo~ Gaz Happy, happy guy. |

Any excuse is lame. I'm just responding to the question. Florida is a hard place for our team to play. History has beared that out. And as far as that goes, I think Plummer is really that bad. I've made absolutely zero excuses for him. |

Yeah, I won't say they are that bad. It was only one week. There were lots of surprises yesterday. I wouldn't say the Jets were that bad, I bet they'll be there in the end. Same with Carolina, Rams (week division). I think. I mean, I don't know for sure, no one does, but if I were a fan of a losing team yesterday I wouldn't be concerned, it was just one week. If it were the playoffs or the Super Bowl for each losing team yesterday, then I would be ticked.
I don't think the Denvers, the Jets, and the Carolinas of the league are going to go away easily, but I hope I'm wrong... |
Speaking of playing in Miami, have those guys EVER come to Arrowhead in the last two decades? It seems we always play them there

I don't know what the issues are, but I'll hold off and see how the next few weeks go before I write off the season. |

I don't know what you're talking about. I've been off the Jake bandwagon for almost a full year now. I'm despised by some on the Mane for my criticism of Plummer. |

I was surprised that Anderson had nothing prior to getting hurt, then aside from Bell's first run, he certainly didn't look like much. Rod, as usual, was the only form of consistency. Bailey looked good prior to getting hurt... and at times the Dline looked tough. We'll see how it unfolds the next few weeks. |

I agree... But it's not like Jake wasn't awful, especially during the first quarter. |

Which comments are those? |

Again, it's only one week... all it takes is a Denver win vs the Chargers in Denver next week and a KC loss at Oakland and all is right in the world again.
|
Really, this is all just Shanahan using Plummers inability to secure the first overall pick in next years draft so that the donkies can draft Matt Leinart.

I'm not whining about the weather. I'm just stating what it was, and complaining that our offense wasn't good enough to keep our defense off of the 115 degree field for 12 of the 15 minutes in the quarter. I'm not suprised they melted down in those conditions. I put it on our offense, not the weather. But I disregard any opinions of people who don't think the weather factored in. Those people are dumb****s. |

By your reasoning the Miami offense should have been dying from the amount of time they were on the field. |

I didn't figure you for someone who knew what they were talking about, or had the conviction to back up what they said. |

They were. Except that they're better acclimated for it, as they practice in it. They really struggled until the end of the third quarter, when our defense finally collapsed under the weight of the conditions and injury. Our offense had no answer for their defense either. |

These were your comments and shown as you typed them. |

Thousand predictions? I don't make that many predictions. It's just that people like you aren't real solid on the definition of a prediction. |

Like I said... I didn't figure you to be someone who knew what they were talking about or had the conviction to back up what they said. You're just guessing and you're not even close. You're a lightweight, and I'm done with you. If I'm going to be called on something from the big boys here, I'll respond to it. They know what they're doing and how to get it done. You're not worth my time. |

Big boys? You seem to be confusing the whether I chose to look for additional information to make you look stupid and/or arogant. You see, you are a denver fan and not worth the effort. If I needed your approval for anything it would be a cold day in hell or a hot one in Miami that I could complain about!!!!! ROFLROFLROFLROFL |
Just a crappy game when everything went wrong...
First, let’s get the partisan stuff out of the way: BWAH HA HA HAAAAAAA! Broncos suck! Losers! Shannahan’s a moron! Ah, that felt good. Moving on. I do not think that Denver is as inept a team as yesterday would suggest. I do believe that Plummer is quite capable of being precisely that inept at a moment’s notice, but he will also make some good plays for you. The question is always where the average will fall. Yesterday, Bonehead Plummer won the day. As long as Plummer is Shannahan’s QB, Denver will have problems with consistency. No smack intended. Really. The lack of a running game should be very troubling for Denver fans. RB has gone from a perennial Denver strength to a serious weakness. Anderson’s injury is just icing on the cake. Big problems here, IMO. I do not think as highly of Bailey as some folks, but any time your starting CB has a shoulder injury, you are looking down the barrel of another big problem. Yesterday, all the bad stuff hit at once and Miami rolled it up on the hapless Broncos [much to the unabashed glee of the Red & Gold faithful]. Feces happens. It would be a mistake to judge the Broncos by yesterday’s debacle. They have some serious holes, but they are better than they showed in Miami. xoxo~ Gaz Not taking the Predominantly Orange lightly. |
I hope it isn't 76 degrees next week in Oakland when we play. Hopefully it's 74 or 77.
The Chiefs never play well when it's 76 degrees outside. |

The bad news would be that LJ picked it up, polished it off, and carried it for over 100 yards and an insane YPC average... |

Get over your loss, and go beat up on the Chargers... Actually, both of you beat up on each other... :p |

It's the Denver Curse... first it was John, then Bob, and now Mike
|
Is Jake Dumber still sporting the 70's porn star look? Maybe that's the problem...'sept he was sucking (no pun intended...?) before then so...

The donk dog pound rejects looked like crap... the donks blitzed on about every down during the game to hide their failed attempts at pass rushing... you know the reason why you brought all of those losers in. And where were all of those world class LB’s we always hear about in donkville… leaving little Chump Bailout to take on a 230 lbs running back on a sweep. The laws of physics finally caught up with him. |

15 Yards for unsportsman like conduct!!!
Too many piled on TJ and now he is gone!!!
You are penalized 3 beers each this evening - that's add three more beers for piling on!! MHM, -3 for defending a bad defense on a bad team. |

Also it looks like time and rule changes have finally caught up with the donk o-line. |

Regarding the oline ... maybe time has caught up to them, but I'll wait until I see how they do next week vs the Chargers and in week 3 vs the Chiefs prior to freaking out. |

Reading some of the posts here (Most by Taco) I can't believe the weather is even being listed as an EXCUSE by some. Get over it. It was hot - BFD. You make your team sound like a bunch of pu$$ies. :hmmm:
I mean since the very first game was ever played in Denver, the CHEATING DONX have had a serious advantage with the altitude that really sucks the life out of visiting teams in the later stages of games. Did some of you whiners forget this? |
Quote:
I know, the temperature only had an effect on denver, the other team couldn't feel the heat, it was dry heat? |
Quote:

Denvers next game is against the 'Bolts at home.
Divisional matchs are always tough. Should be interesting. |
They're mediocre.
nuff said. |
