I predict if yesterdays injuries keep those players
Surrtain and Roaf mainly but also TRich from playing we will lose to the RAiders.
Sucks but that is the way a season goes, lots of ups and downs. http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/forumdisplay.php?f=30 |
Keep your chin up Vlad.

Oh ye of little faith. :shake:
|
No way.
Chiefs can handle the Raiders. The Raider D cant stop anything, and our defense will get to Collins. The raider O line cant protect him and he cant move. |
Oh Jesus.
|
For some odd reason I think we'll be fine. Don't even ask me why, just a hunch.
|
not only did you make a hard left turn but you just got plum smart!!

I predict that the sky is falling, the grass is not green anywhere and Vlad will bitch about it all week/life.

Vlad is a doodyhead.
|
Of all these prediction threads, someone should do something fun for a change and start a thread on predictions for how many penalties, and how much penalty yardage the Raiders will get flagged for sunday night.
They will implode, just like they always do. |

I predict that next week, Vlad will express regret while predicting that the Chiefs will lose to the Broncos.

Even if we get pressure on Collins, a secondary of McCleon, Sapp, and Ambrose/Washington aren't going to cover Moss, Porter, and Curry.....it just won't happen. I like our chances against Denver the following week, and I think we will be fine the rest of the season, but we just don't match up well with the Faiders this week. Commence bashing. |
we have our oakland gameplan set already. Pound the rock, blitz the quarteback.
|
I think we can do it. Only with good play from the falcon.

how long does it usually take to get over a concussion? hopefully Surtain will be ready, Roaf & T-Rich are crucial to our offense, but hopefully Sampson will be back if Roaf can't play. I think we can live without Sims for at least a week. Its what separates great teams from good teams, winning without some of your key guys

Oh.........Ok. Well then my idea of kicking Washington to the curb and bringing back Ambrose would do no good. :banghead: |

I'm concerned about the Oaktown game. As I stated in an earlier post, Surtain's injury is the most crucial IMO; if he's out, McMe-owned and Washington won't cut it...we'll get torched through the air. Hopefully Surtain will suit up, but if he's out, the key will be to kill Collins.
Without Roaf, our pass protection is suspect. Well, the adversity will be a chance for back-ups to step up. Good news is that the coaching staff has the time to gameplan and practice. If the Chiefs can pull out a W, that's going to make one heckuva statement about this team. Gut check time early in the season. |

I admit, I am a little worried about Oakland, only because they have Moss...but I don't see us losing..
Go Chiefs.... |

However one positive is that the Jets O-Line, while not as great as Jets fans believe, is still fairly solid. The Raiders O-Line, on the other hand, is really pretty bad. I think Browning, Hall and Allen will be able to generate fairly consistent pressure. Hell, Hicks might even get in on that. Maybe not. |
I agree with Vlad. I think we're going to get blown out.

The Chiefs looked infinitely better in their win over the Jets than the Patsies did in their victory over the Raiders. Even with those players missing, I think the Chiefs win. |
I think the next few games will be damn tough to win. We're missing both starting CBs, both starting offensive tackles, a FB, and a DT. Obviously Warfield and Welbourne are out due to suspension not injuries, but there are not too many teams who can afford to go without 6 starters and perform well. Our offense slowed way the hell down against the Jets after Roaf and Richardson went down. I like the push our front 7 are getting, and that should mess with Plumber and Collins plenty. However if I were game planning for Oakland I'd be drawing up plenty of screens to make Gun pay for sending everybody upfield. Throw in plenty of max protection blocking schemes with Moss going deep against Sapp/McCleon/Washington.
I can see Oakland moving the ball and I can see us struggling to do so. Our chances are better against Denver than Oakland IMHO just based on the way our injuries/weaknesses match up. These next two games will not be easy by a long shot. If we had all of our personnel then we should win handily but we don't. |

We've beat Oakland 5 of the last 6 with a horrible defense. I see no reason to think we won't beat them again.
Moss will get his yards, Porter too probably. But Kerry Collins will go Kerry Collins and cough up 3 fumbles at the most inopportune times and we'll still win. I also don't buy that their run d is that good. Dillon doesn't move like Holmes or LJ, and NE's O-line is nowhere near KC's. |
