Losing One's Virginity

What song, if any, was playing in the background? Or, song(s) if one was able to go longer than approximately three minutes.

ArrowheadHawk 09-16-2005 04:25 PM

Actually "eruption" by Van Halen might be the most appropriate song, in style and running time.

FloridaChief 09-16-2005 04:37 PM

Approx. Nov, 1978. Not the most romantic of music, but there it is...

Overhead the albatross hangs motionless upon the air
And deep beneath the rolling waves in labyrinths of coral caves
The echo of a distant tide
Comes willowing across the sand
And everything is green and submarine

And no one showed us to the land
And no one knows the wheres or whys
But something stirs and
Something tries
And starts to climb towards the light

Strangers passing in the street
By chance two separate glances meet
And I am you and what I see is me
And do I take you by the hand
And lead you through the land
And help me understand the best I can

And no one calls us to the land
And no one crosses there alive
And no one speaks
And no one tries
And no one flies around the sun...

And now this is the day you fall
Upon my waking eyes
Inviting and inciting me to rise
And through the window in the wall
Comes streamin in on sunlight wings
A million bright ambassadors of morning

And no one sings me lullabies
And no one makes me close my eyes
So I throw the windows wide
And call to you across the sky.

I remember the ex had a whole cd made up for the bump and grind, but I'll be damned if I can remember a single tune from it. Probably recognize some of it if I heard it on the radio. You know, first there'd be this icy pain between my shoulder blades, then this burning itch a few feet below and to the front.

I’ve heard people say that
Too much of anything is not good for you, baby
But I don’t know about that
As many times as we’ve loved
We’ve shared love and made love
It doesn’t seem to me like it’s enough
There’s just not enough, baby
There’s just not enough
Oh, oh, baby
Uh-uh

My darling, I
Can’t get enough of your love, babe
Girl, I don’t know, I don’t know why
I can’t get enough of your love, babe

Heh. Good thread.

I don't remember the song that played during the actual event, but I remember the one just before we started.

It was with an older girl that was basically just servicing me so that I could get it out of the way. Not a lot of romance involved, and I was pretty intimidated by the whole situation because it wasn't spontaneous, but rather a planned event.

As we sat in her car in an uncomfortable silence, KGGO cranked out the perfect ice breaker. "Feels Like the First Time" by Foreigner. Made us laugh and loosened me up enough to enjoy myself.

As for Enigma... Not the first, but one of the best. :thumb: I don't think there's ever been a better album for sex than MCMXC A.D.

Mr. Kotter 09-16-2005 11:07 PM

Okay, I haven't read the thread yet....summer of 1982.

The whole episode, in the back seat of a 1974 Cutlass Supreme:

1. Foreigner: "Feels Like The First Time"
2. Joan Jett: "Do You Wanna Touch Me There"
3. Olivia Newton John: "Make a Move On Me."
4. Rolling Stones: "Start Me Up"
5. The Cars: "Shake It Up"

Totally planned; I recorded on casette. The girl was sappy, and we started off on radio....KY102, or KBEQ104.....and then I hit, "tape."

What can I say, it worked. :)
