What song, if any, was playing in the background? Or, song(s) if one was able to go longer than approximately three minutes.

Actually "eruption" by Van Halen might be the most appropriate song, in style and running time.

Approx. Nov, 1978. Not the most romantic of music, but there it is...
Overhead the albatross hangs motionless upon the air And deep beneath the rolling waves in labyrinths of coral caves The echo of a distant tide Comes willowing across the sand And everything is green and submarine And no one showed us to the land And no one knows the wheres or whys But something stirs and Something tries And starts to climb towards the light Strangers passing in the street By chance two separate glances meet And I am you and what I see is me And do I take you by the hand And lead you through the land And help me understand the best I can And no one calls us to the land And no one crosses there alive And no one speaks And no one tries And no one flies around the sun... And now this is the day you fall Upon my waking eyes Inviting and inciting me to rise And through the window in the wall Comes streamin in on sunlight wings A million bright ambassadors of morning And no one sings me lullabies And no one makes me close my eyes So I throw the windows wide And call to you across the sky. |

The only music I heard was the beautiful sounds my girlfriend was making at that time. I never expected it to be THAT good.

I remember the ex had a whole cd made up for the bump and grind, but I'll be damned if I can remember a single tune from it. Probably recognize some of it if I heard it on the radio. You know, first there'd be this icy pain between my shoulder blades, then this burning itch a few feet below and to the front.

I think I was watching TV at the time (well, the TV was on at least ;) )and I remember hearing the "Shawnee Mission Kia" jingle Kia commercial on the TV.
"Shawnee Mission Kia, just a short drive, Shawnee Mission Parkway I-35". Ah the memories... |

This reminds me of the time I was having sex with an old girlfriend in my bedroom. I had Roger Water's The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking on. We were in bed quite a long time with the album going when sometime during the middle of it she blurted out, "WTF are we listening to!" The next day, to make her happy, I had to go get some freakin' Barry White. |
I’ve heard people say that
Too much of anything is not good for you, baby But I don’t know about that As many times as we’ve loved We’ve shared love and made love It doesn’t seem to me like it’s enough There’s just not enough, baby There’s just not enough Oh, oh, baby Uh-uh My darling, I Can’t get enough of your love, babe Girl, I don’t know, I don’t know why I can’t get enough of your love, babe |

Heh. Good thread.
I don't remember the song that played during the actual event, but I remember the one just before we started. It was with an older girl that was basically just servicing me so that I could get it out of the way. Not a lot of romance involved, and I was pretty intimidated by the whole situation because it wasn't spontaneous, but rather a planned event. As we sat in her car in an uncomfortable silence, KGGO cranked out the perfect ice breaker. "Feels Like the First Time" by Foreigner. Made us laugh and loosened me up enough to enjoy myself. As for Enigma... Not the first, but one of the best. :thumb: I don't think there's ever been a better album for sex than MCMXC A.D. |
Okay, I haven't read the thread yet....summer of 1982.
The whole episode, in the back seat of a 1974 Cutlass Supreme: 1. Foreigner: "Feels Like The First Time" 2. Joan Jett: "Do You Wanna Touch Me There" 3. Olivia Newton John: "Make a Move On Me." 4. Rolling Stones: "Start Me Up" 5. The Cars: "Shake It Up" Totally planned; I recorded on casette. The girl was sappy, and we started off on radio....KY102, or KBEQ104.....and then I hit, "tape." What can I say, it worked. :) |
