On second thought, let vailpass fend for himself, the dirty Donkey lover!

:D

Phobia 09-24-2005 12:11 PM

It's ugly. The entire Big Ten is overrated. Very sad day, indeed.

Foreskintz is a little overrated as well.

Bowser 09-24-2005 12:13 PM

Foreskintz? ROFL

It's a litlle early to get so down on your coach, ain't it?

Phobia 09-24-2005 12:15 PM

Never too early. They look like hell.

Bowser 09-24-2005 12:25 PM

24-3 2:42 to go in the third.

Eleazar 09-24-2005 12:27 PM

I guess that Iowa national championship was a false alarm...

Mecca 09-24-2005 12:28 PM

The Iowa QB getting pissed and spiking the ball made me laugh.

It always has been.... unless we're talking wrestling or field hockey.

I don't know if I've yet mentioned it, but he's overrated as well.

I'll bet jsp is just about to get the cyanide tabs out.

Phobia 09-24-2005 12:38 PM

Cyanide is overrated.

31-6, with six minutes and some change to go. Start packin' it up.

WilliamTheIrish 09-24-2005 01:05 PM

It's all Mizzou's fault. They wouldn't play Iowa out of fear.

Apparently that fear was that Iowa would bring down Mizzou's sagarin rating.

Ultra Peanut 09-24-2005 01:12 PM

Wow... Iowa's the disappointment of the year.

A regular THRASHING!!

Pitt Gorilla 09-24-2005 01:25 PM

Ohio State tried as hard as they could to make a game out of it with turnovers. Alas, Iowa refused to accommodate them.

Will someone please get into a fight on this shitty thread so I can send it to the Romper Room?

Mecca 09-24-2005 02:34 PM

Is it just me, or does AJ Hawk look like he's been beaten in the face repeatadly.

WolfDawg 09-24-2005 03:25 PM

If Tressel didn't play QB derby in the Texas game and had just let Smith play the whole way through we would have won that game. That mistake will cost us a national championship. And I worry since Purdue doesn't play us or Michigan they will go undefeated. I'll be rooting for the Hawkeyes in a few weeks when they play them.

NO, No, no. It's just that 2005 version of ISU and Ohio State might be the two greatest teams of all time. IU is phenomenal, just ask their fans.

He looks like a neaderthal, but he is a hell of a linebacker.

Purdue lost to Minnesota today..........

WilliamTheIrish 09-24-2005 06:22 PM

"Is this heaven?"

"No, it's just Iowa,.......losing"

jspchief 09-24-2005 06:35 PM

Ugh.

I don't know what's more disappointing, our veteran defense's inability to tackle, or our veteran offense's inability to do anything at all.

Iowa has now scored a total of 9 points against teams that are remotely worth a sh*t.

OSU looked tough as hell. They have a good defense, and now that Smith is getting the snaps, it looks like they have an offense for the first time in years. I wouldn't be suprised to see them run the Big 10, and make a case for the championship game (Texas needs to lose).

Saulbadguy 09-24-2005 07:00 PM

At least your money will be going to a good cause, jspchief. :)

Who is going to beat Texas? I haven't seen their schedule but I can't think of anyone offhand.

Originally I would have said Oklahoma, but it appears they were as over-rated as Iowa.

Texas Tech can score a lot of points, and are always dangerous. I also think Texas plays at A&M this year, and it's a tough place to win.

Even with a Texas loss, having beaten OSU they might still get the edge. I'm assuming that USC will be the other team in, but they could lose tonight to Oregon. It's way too early to really even guess. I just think OSU has both the D and O to be a power this year.

Yeah, Franchione is at Tech now and the dude has won everywhere he's been. He's a local boy, you know (Frontenac, Kansas). And aTm is always dangerous. But it may just be Mack Brown's turn (They do take turns don't they?)

Mecca 09-24-2005 07:59 PM

The answer to who is going to beat Texas? Answer-USC

Fanchione is at aTm. Mike Leech is at Tech.

I'm glad I was wrong on that. I'd hate for Dennis to associate with that scum Bobby Knight.

To who?

I picked them to go 8-3 at the beginning of the season, with losses at tOSU, and at Purdue. Michigan and Iowa State were my 50/50-could go either way games...

So far the season is looking exactly like I thought it would.

At this point, I'd take 8-3 in the drop of a hat. Besides Purdue and Michigan, I think we may have problems with Wisconsin (Alvarez's last home game) and Minnesota.

We can count ourselves lucky that Michigan State and Penn State aren't on the schedule.

After watching our poor defensive effort today, I think we're in for a long season.

Ohio State is fooling alot of people. Everybody just assumes that they're the same old Buckeyes -- super defense, stupor offense.

Holmes and Ginn are the best WR tandem in the country and BOTH will likely be top 10 picks.

I'm MUCH more worried about our offense right now.

Just remember, how did last season start? We lost big to Michigan on the road.
