It's that blonde woman who ruined Van Halen.

I mean, even worse.

Deberg_1990 10-13-2005 10:51 AM

Hes still alive?? Wow...

Brock 10-13-2005 11:07 AM

He sure doesn't look 57.

ptlyon 10-13-2005 11:12 AM

Oh to be in Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Wabo tonight.

Braincase 10-13-2005 11:43 AM

MAS TEQUILA!

Rain Man 10-13-2005 11:45 AM

When he's 70, the song "I can drive 55" will take on an entirely different meaning.

Chief Henry 10-13-2005 12:21 PM

My wife and I were in Cabo last year at this time. We just missed his b-day bash by 2 days. We had some excellent "beverages" and food in his establishment.

I would love to go back to his party sometime. It would be wild.

ChiefsOne 10-13-2005 12:22 PM

He's pretty damn awesome at 57!

What the hell happened to Van Halen? Are they done? VH1 should do a "Where are they now".

No, he's not. His Van Hagar stint was cool, but his solo stuff stinks.

I don't know. They always sucked anyway.

There was this kid at my high school, I don't remember his name, but I was a sophomore and he was a senior, and we were in the same math class if that tells you anything. Anyways, he had a van halen tattoo, and wore a different van halen shirt every day, and if you said anything bad about them, or even remotely not positive, he was ready to fight you. I always figure that when I get a delicious steak & shake burger, he's probably back in the back arranging the ground beef into little V and H's before making it into the burger shape.

They toured the midwest last year - saw them last summer.

Rats. One typo destroyed my whole joke.

Let me try it again. When he's 70, the song "I can't drive 55" will take on an entirely different meaning.

Topic Starter Pic would be appropriate for the BLD adjustment. Don't they look about the same age?

StcChief 10-13-2005 12:34 PM

Red Rocker. 57 wow.

My guess is he's dying the hair.

I disagree. Mas Tequilla was a great party song, Where Eagles Fly and lots of his before VH stuff was good too.

I pretty much liked Marching to Mars.

chagrin 10-13-2005 01:02 PM

Say what you want about his age/Van Halen that dude can play guitar!

Pre VH wasn't too bad. His post VH stuff just kinda sucked IMO. The KC radio stations at the time played the crap all the time, as though I was supposed to like it. I just didn't get it, I suppose.

Without a doubt,Sammy had a live album in the 70's called All Night Long which I lost in a fire,I've tried to find it again with no luck. One of my fav live projects ever.It had Turn Up The Music,Red,I've Done Everything For You,and Bad Motor Scooter(from the Montrose days) plus alot more.

Hydrae 10-13-2005 05:56 PM

I don't care what you guys think, Sammy rocks! But I will admit I was terribly disappointed with Van Hagar. Took one of my favorite bands and put in an excellent guitarist like Sammy and it just didn't match up with my expectations.

Anyway, Happy B-Day to the Red Rocker! :toast:

rocks 10-13-2005 07:21 PM

Hey Pitt you outta check out a couple of his post CD's. The freakin radio did not play any of his good Sh*t. I would suggest the CD's Red Voodoo & Ten 13 to anyone. Good freakin Rock! Happy B-Day Sammy!
