We may get the "A" crew. Mike & Paul. ESPN does not do a Sunday night game during the first weekend of the WS.

Rain Man 10-20-2005 11:27 AM

Go, ESPN! Go! Don't give up!

Scaga 10-20-2005 12:11 PM

They can't do it.
They have a contract to show the 2005 World Series of Poker for the 1,500th time :cuss:

MichaelH 10-20-2005 12:18 PM

That would be awesome! The local CBS affiliate here is planning on showing the weekly episode of Ghost Whisperer tomorrow night. What a bunch of assclowns :cuss:

ArrowheadHawk 10-20-2005 01:25 PM

Hydrae 10-20-2005 01:27 PM

Being stuck at work on a Friday it won't matter to me. Well, I suppose the DVR would work better if it was shown.

runnercyclist 10-20-2005 01:31 PM

Im like damn!!!

I talk my boss into letting me off work early so I can watch the game.

Now, I find out the game isn't going to be televised. Are you kidding me???? :cuss:

Come on ESPN, come through for me.

Hoover 10-20-2005 01:44 PM

It would be the best thing IMO, heck its a Friday night, the night before the WS.

mac58 10-20-2005 01:46 PM

Espn cant do it cause i think there is a HS or college game on somewhere. Ur not gomnna see it unless u live in KC or FL FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK K

SquirrellyBastard 10-20-2005 01:50 PM

I always get stuck listening to the game over the internet unless we have a primetime! So it won't affect me any.

I recently moved from KC to Memphis.
First post to this board as well! I love this site!

Do we have any players that may have played on Sunday that won't tomorrow since the game moved up?

KChiefs1 10-20-2005 01:54 PM

Will CBS let ESPN steal one of their games?

CBS would be compensated for it.

The DirecTV CSR just told me that the game would be on ESPN. He didn't seem to know any of the drama, he thought the game was originally on ESPN too, so take it with a grain of salt.

StcChief 10-20-2005 02:50 PM

Won't happen. KCFX101 on internet.

ArrowheadHawk 10-20-2005 02:52 PM

i guess tommorrow radio is where its at

cmh6476 10-20-2005 02:54 PM

For the sake of innocent Wichita area people who might get hit with stray bullets from my automatic weapon, I sure as hell hope they get this game on ESPN.

skye22f 10-20-2005 02:57 PM

I'm sure they are, they have no reason not to want it on TV. I have no idea who the **** would want to listen to the game on the radio, that's seriously the gayest thing I've heard all day. I'd rather just turn off the sportscenter and the planet for a couple days.

a guy i work with, and I just saw it on a yahoo news release. The NFL wants this game televised nationally, and they are going to do all they can to see that it happens.

On the radi, they just said one of the main reasons is vegas, and they don't want an NFL game going on without being to show it in the area. It's all about the $$$, and if I were a gambling man, I'd bet you guys are gonna get to watch your game...

tk13 10-20-2005 03:04 PM

I think it makes perfect sense, the NFL likes to get as many games on TV as possible, I would not be surprised if ESPN inquired about it. Friday would be the best day all weekend to actually turn this into a TV game, but I think pulling it all off in 1 day's time is not something I have a lot of faith in them doing, we'll see.

RealSNR 10-20-2005 03:09 PM

Wouldn't it be a bad idea for ESPN to do this game? The viewership will be down because
A) It's not that great of a matchup
B) Normal viewers of football at the normal times may not know about the game/will have other plans
C) To get their crews ready, cancel previous programming, pay off CBS, and sustain a weaker viewership, wouldn't they incure a loss from all this?

wolfpack0735 10-20-2005 03:19 PM

espn wont show it, they have a badmitton(or how ever u spell it) game to show.

Calcountry 10-20-2005 03:38 PM

THis is almost as bad as the fuggin Heidi incident.

It's 100 times worse. That was the Jets and the <pile of crap>

keg in kc 10-20-2005 04:18 PM

Never give up. Never surrender.

keg in kc 10-20-2005 04:19 PM

Wouldn't it be ironic, though, if the sunday night crew missed our game because of the other hurricane and then got this one.

Weird stuff.

Wichita Lineman 10-20-2005 04:42 PM

I hope something happens and CBS gets screwed over to the max. The station is Wichita is blaming the NFL but that sounds fishy to me.

It's not, the NFL is really really strict about this stuff.

They might broadcast it on ESPN2.
