headsnap 10-30-2005 07:55 PM

this was one of the single most enjoyable Chiefs games I have watched

after the first quarter, I was ready to throw bricks through the TV, when in walks my 4 year old son Dare. He sits next to me and says, "now I like football, daddy!" After a few plays he runs upstairs and gets his Priest Holmes jersey and puts it on.

I spent the remainder of the game explaining to him expactly what was going on.

He never left my side... except to get me another beer! :thumb:

You should raise your son right. Teach him to root for a good team instead of the Chiefs. It will save him decades of disappointment.

I'd bomb him too but Laz didnt find one of my graphics amusing  and he smacked me with the dreaded red square. When I get back to full strength, I'll drop one on him too. :D

I thermo neg repped his ass right away. By the way your story was heartwarming. Even at 24 my son and I sitting together and watching the game is a joy.

Are you talking about Jbucc or you?

What Jbucc said wasn't a joke or he should have said it different.

chefsos 10-30-2005 08:12 PM

I don't know about the rest of you fuckers, but this little story puts everything in perspective for me.

I'm talking about Jbucc. And I do believe it was a joke. An exaggerated response from a Chiefs fan in the dumps. It made me laugh.

Anyone that took it seriously is just trying to vent their aggravation with Saunders' not giving LJ enough carries even though we were in a deep hole and our running game was stagnant.

This little fucker already had things in perspective however, it was a heart warming story. This is how bonds are made. :thumb:

I remember the game where I was finally interested in football. It would have been 1988 or 1989 probably, a game against the Browns, and Albert Lewis I think it was blocked a punt. I had to ask a lot of rule questions, I was only about 9 or 10, but I've been watching games with him most every chance since then. It's really a gift to give a son, to love a football team together. Glad you are starting the tradition too headsnap.

PunkinDrublic 10-30-2005 08:21 PM

One of the many reasons I'm considering never reproducing is my absolute disgusting behavior during Chiefs games. How do you explain to a young child your desire to see Al Davis die a slow painful death? I would not want my young son or daughter to follow in my footsteps by witnessing my profanity laced tirades for three hours on Sunday.

teedubya 10-30-2005 08:30 PM

i am glad the Chiefs dont tug at my emotions as much... the years of disappointment... have numbed me. Oh, I cheer loud when shit goes good, and goes awry, but when the game is over, I go back to doing whatever I was doing before the game...

That is a cool story Headsnap... good shit.

My daughter spent a good portion of the game mocking my reactions. She isn't old enough to have the game explained yet but she knows when to appropriately drop a "GO CHIEFS!" into the conversation.

As an aside, the bipolar-super-paranoid psychophrenic-whore I had a kid with decided it wasn't a good idea for me to pick her up this weekend because she was sick.

And I couldn't talk to her because she was sleeping. All 3 times I called on friday.

You guys don't realize it but when I'm on A&E's profile of a friggen twisted psycho documentary you'll get paid for the background interviews.

I'm one more empty backfield on first down from wearing her skin as a suit in the pale moon light...

Your story is a familiar one to me. BTDT many times. But the worst was when my (at that time) 7 year old informed me she had spent 4 days in the hospital and her mother NEVER called to tell me about it. Yes, we lived in the same city.

Demonpenz 10-30-2005 09:26 PM

I bet you were pissed as I would have. I have crazy whore ex wife too. She has been married 3 times now including me and has cheated on all of us.

Luckily our daughter hasn't been too influenced by her mom....yet.

Headshap, sounded like you had a good day regardless of the pathetic performance. I bet your son learned some other new things today, "Daddy who is Saunders and why is he a shiat eating monkey fugg?"

That is awesome. My son is still too young to understand what is going on, but he loves to watch football. There is nothing better.

That's bullshit. I didn't get that from my dad. Neither should this kid. He is born into the prison of being a Chiefs fan and there's no way to escape!

My little 3 year old girl can do the sign for touchdown, first down, and safety....

Sometimes, I sit and watch the game with all 3 of my little daughters right at my side. We all scream together and have a blast. You go Headsnap!!!

At least you got that........I LEFT THE HOUSE and went to the store. I needed things and thought I would do that later. I was so pissed I left in the 3rd quarter. Listening on the radio to the store I hear Priest is hurt...faulking figures as I am so pissed anyway. I have NEVER ever walked away from a game as I did today. COST me a chit load of moey at the grocery store though. :banghead:

Raiderhater 10-30-2005 11:24 PM

So 'snap, when you were explaining to your son what was going on, did it sound anything like this - "Now the Chiefs' are dropping there pants. This play, this play the Chiefs are bending over. Now here we have a text book ass raping taking place."

?

I'm glad you were able to turn this day into a memorable and enjoyable one. Hope this is the first time of many to come.
