Will Holmes make it on the Ring of Fame?
After LJ officially takes his job away and Holmes retires, will he make the Ring? And if so, how long will it take? I think he will, though I'm not sure how long it takes (organization standards) or how long it will take.
If LJ keeps on this path, he'll be there too. |
Yes Priest should be a lock for the ROF
|
DT was put up there the year after he died. It took Joe Delaney 21 years. Nobody knows what the ROF standards are. Not even Lamar.

If I were on the selection committee, Priest would be at or near the top of my list of active player candidates (along with Will Shields and Tony Gonzales). I say he gets in. |
Oh - I'm not comparing anybody at all. Those are the only two timeframes I knew off the top of my head.
I don't think there are any "set" standards such as there are for Canton. That was my point. |
He'll probably make it....
After Carl Peterson and Denny Thum and Bob Gretz... And any of the other front office bozos who believe they should be up there. After the put Steadman the Suit up there this year, that whole thing means nothing to me anymore. It's tainted as far as I'm concerned. |
dumb question.
|
The only question is, when? I'd say within a year of his official retirement. That's what he deserves.
|
If Carl Peterson makes it up there (the ROF), I'm going to hire a special ops militia to sneek in there at night time to take it down how ever many times they keep putting it back up there.

Since Holmes holds every rushing record for KC, I'd say it's pretty much guaranteed.

The ring of fame should be something sacred, not something that you let all of your star players into. If Priest retires, I don't think there is any way he gets in the hall of fame, and I think you need to do more than be a great player to get in the ring of fame. You need to have a great community presence or a tragic death to push you over the edge.
The only current ring of fame player we have is Tony G, in my oppinion. |
Hes in.
|
After they added Jack Steadman to the ROF, they tarnished it a little for me. That said, Priest DESERVES to be in the ROF.

I thought the Steadman was a joke. I honestly thought it was a joke. I just vomited.
If Steadman deserves to be up there, then so do I. I've done a lot less damage to the team than he did. As for Priest, he should decline if he'll go up there next to Steadman. If Steadman wasn't on there, and let me say 'Steadman' one more time just for emphasis, then Priest is certainly a strong candidate. I wouldn't have an issue with him making it, but he should be in line behind Shields and Gonzalez at the moment. |

absolutely he will. He leads the Chiefs in rushing yardage and touchdowns... ALL TIME! He will definately be in our ring. Probably about 5 years post retirement...
|
Okoye is up there,right? ( I honestly can't remember)
If he is, then Priest definitely should be... that is comparing apples to apples, and the end of the story. Next. |
Priest should definately make the ROF, the Chiefs all-time rusher and probably TDs too, Will Shields should make it as well as Tony G.......T-Rich would be the only other player who should be in consideration
|
So is priest is worthy of Canton?
|
Steadman being in the ring is akin to taking a big steamy dump in the middle of a rose garden.
