Wild speculation: Lynch to KC?

Apparently, Herm and Lynch are great friends. I wonder if a deal could be worked out to bring him here? As much as I despise him as a donk, I'd love to have him in a Chiefs uni. Maybe then, Dante could have a nice cup 'o joe w/ him while discussing the finer points of H2H contact.

milkman 01-21-2006 11:22 AM

Unless John Lynch is a FA, then it ain't gonna happen.

KCBOSS1 01-21-2006 11:22 AM

I've thought about that as well. I think that it would great for Lynch to come to KC to retire then move to some kind of defensive backs coach or something to that effect. I think that he is an incredible leader and would be a great player/coach.

nychief 01-21-2006 11:26 AM

you guys are ****ing cartooning.

Bwana 01-21-2006 11:30 AM

Iowanian 01-21-2006 11:35 AM

kick yourself in the balls for even thinking that.

Braincase 01-21-2006 11:38 AM

We have enough fines from the league office without brining numero uno.

I'm too overweight to kick myself in the balls, but I'm sure that I can find another volunteer in the house to help me with that.

You gotta admit, the guy's a playa.

Iowanian 01-21-2006 11:49 AM

Sounds like you're going to need some help, shaking that silly idea out of your mind.

if you need someone to kick you in the baows, just to be helpful....I'll be in KC in April.

No Lynchings in KC.

Bowser 01-21-2006 11:53 AM

How about we play some YOUNG safeties with potential?

If it'll help, I'll hold him for you so you can get a good running start.

Mama Hip Rockets 01-21-2006 11:57 AM

It would definitely take both of you and you might want to recruit one or two more.

U got that right! ;)

PastorMikH 01-21-2006 12:10 PM

While we need attitude on D, we don't need the cheap shots that he'd bring.

No Thanks.

I keed, I keed. ;)

phxchief 01-21-2006 12:41 PM

He's just a better Greg Wesley.

No thanks.

KCBOSS1 01-21-2006 12:42 PM

Sometimes you guys are pretty funny. And I really don't want to take the bat on either....but if it's all the same to you guys, I will just leave the kicking to my wife. I've learned her technique and have gotten to where I can make her miss sometimes... But that's enough about my balls, wouldn't you say?

She misses? Apparently she's never heard the old saying, "You've gotta go to sleep SOMETIME!"

Kiss your wife for me. :D

1. No.
2. This isn't Madden, you can't just sign everyone.
3. He had a chance to play with Herm in New York but signed with the Broncos instead.

I wasn't aware of that.
Move along, nothing to see here.

Deberg_1990 01-21-2006 03:28 PM

I dont want that little bitch anywhere on the Chiefs sidelines.

Dunit35 01-21-2006 03:31 PM

No thanks on Lynch.

Hammock Parties 01-21-2006 03:44 PM

Absolutely not. For several reasons:

1. Lynch is a bitch.

2. We already have a black version of him on the roster in Sammy Knight.

3. Lynch's skills are declining big time. I suspect next year is his last, if not this year.

John Matrix 01-21-2006 03:46 PM

Lynch is a fucking douchebag and will be 36 f'in years old next season.

That's being a bit mean to Lynch...his skills haven't eroded that much.

kcfanXIII 01-21-2006 04:13 PM

lynch would have been a good addition 4 or 5 years ago. but i'll pass on him now. if he wants to coach, i'm game. maybe he can bring some attitude to our secondary

I read something a while back where Lynch said he had a chance to go to the Jets the year he ended up in Denver, but he chose not to because he didn't want to put Herm in a bad position. That year, he was coming off a serious (neck?) injury and he wasn't sure whether he could make it back to 100% of his prior abilities. He was worried that if he let Herm sign him and then he failed, the NY fans would rip Herm apart for signing a gimpy friend. Of course, the fact that Herm is more established now, kc fans aren't as brutal as jets fans, and Lynch has proven that the injury didn't prevent him from making a full recovery mean that he might not make the same decision if he had the opportunity to come to KC this offseason.
