Guys..what are your impression of this guy?I think my friend _____ has his red/yellow glasses on too tight..but hes trying to tell me that this guy has really ascended and is atleast a number 2 safety..i dont see how anyone would want him above a backup...IF THAT!!

Then he goes on to say that the front 7 sucks..thats why Wesley looks bad..Fine...its not that good..but then how can u justify his contract if ur just making excuses for a guy .Might as well start any dirt cheap player..All i know is this guy gets burned by anyone he goes up against....i dont hate the guy personally..lol....Am i too harsh??

I noticed on many of his tackles that he was just hitting the person with a shoulder pad and didn't wrap up. He's not great but he's definately better than Woods.

He's an excellent safety. Produces turnovers like few others in the NFL.

Funny how this thread starts out the exact same way as the "Warfield" thread.

Woods sucks. He is a joke compared to Wesley.

Other than the Pats game this season, (which I may suggest that 2 of those INTs he was in the right place at the right time and should have made those plays) he wasn't really all that great. He gets out of position more than any other safety in the NFL not named Bartee or Woods.

I would love to have a top tier safety in the Ed Reed, Troy Polamalu, Shawn Taylor, Roy Williams mold.

I think you are mistaken my friend, Wesley gets out of position way too much and is overpaid. Should we cut him? No because who else do we have thats any better? No one so another words were stuck with him.

Wesley and Knight are fine. A little more speed wouldn't hurt back there, but I think they're a suffice safety combo to make a SB run with.

He's one of the top turnover producing safeties in the league. That is invaluable.

if nothing else he has a cool name for a safety.

He is nasty. The hit he put on Allan Evridge was the hardest I saw this year.

I just threw a tape in just a few minutes ago and it happens to be the Chiefs-Patriots game and Wesley just happend to get his 2nd with 12:53 left in the 2nd. 10-0 ROFL

Wesley is better than Woods and that is all that matters unless we get someone in the draft.

He did the same thing to Nebraska's QB also. He knocks guys out when he hits them. I was watching a show a few weeks back on the FSN and they had Ronnie Lott saying he hasn't seen a guy hit like that since him. ROFL
