When is Springfield going to get a Dave and Busters? A place like that would florish in Springfield.

You could head downtown. Steer clear of the clubs, but there are some good bars. I like Ernie Biggs, but I don't think that's your style. I think Zach's suggestion is good for you.

I'd like to help you out here. Call TK, she will usually show up. (I have her number if you need it). Philfree's wife won't let him out of the house. Mohillbilly got stiffed 4 or 5 times so he is doubtful. Stumppy lies so you can't depend on him. Luv will say she will show up but she won't. Nasium and JennyGump are too busy playing schmoopie. Ah yes. The Brew Co. Several different beers to sample. That's right up his alley, too. Great food, and they usually have a good band/performer playing upstairs. Great thinking!

Last time I was there, there was a 70's cover band playing. I haven't gone downtown for a couple of years, so I'm sure a lot of things have changed. I usually go to Sir Gregory's and pay too much for a pool table. Their food's pretty good, you can usually find a good drink special, and it's fun to make fun of the people singing karaoke. Once in awhile, there's a good comedian in the comedy club. I just figured it was too far south. Speaking of south, there's Summers at the River back behind the James River Sports complex. I work over in there, but have only gone there for lunch. I've heard it's not a bad place to hang out at night. That's nearly to Nixa though.

There used to be a place on the bypass like that. IF you were heading south it was alittle shack on the east side just past division. not only did they kill one about everyweek there the doorman sat on a stool w/ a shotgun. Man i was young as shit.

other dives we go to softtales and reginas on college(take a pistol),cowboys is OK on fri if theyre playing country, the bullfights are funny.

Cowboys as in Cowboys 2000? I hate that place. Altough I like the bullriders.

ChiefsCountry 05-10-2006 12:55 PM

Come on Cowboys is a good time. Hate it when they make it college night and play rap all night. Even though I get in free, still sucks. The bullriding is pretty sweet though.

College kids and "chat room parties". Can you believe they've actually announced those there before?

There is a place on Glenstone near Cherry that is pretty fun downstairs. I think it is called Bugsys? Or something like that.

Glenstone and Cherry? I grew up on Cherry east of Glenstone. Never heard of the place. Of course, if it's been there less than 5 years, I probably wouldn't know a thing about it.

Its like a block down from Cadillacs, its called Muggsys or Bugsys, and it has a firestation theme. They have karaoke downstairs with penny pitchers.

If they replaced them, the drunks leaving Illusions at 2 AM would just steal them again.

Sir Gregory's is always good. Brew Co. is usually good too. Cartoon's has better food and a band on the weekends.

There are a few dives that are fun, most of the popular bars are full of kids and dance music on weekends, which both suck unless you are 18-25 or like hip-hop.

When I worked third shift, we would have drunks wander back, knock on the windows to our break room, and ask, "Where are the girls?" Usually after Illusions closing time.

If you turn on the same street that you turn on to get to Illusions parking lot, you just go like a half a block back and there we are.

Nauvalis is a healthcare solutions firm. The front office is mainly the technical support staff, R&D, Sales, etc. In production, we take medical records, prep them, scan them, index them, and put them on either CD or into a data warehouse where people can access records via the internet.

Speaking of which. Gotta go get ready for work.

If you find yourself going to Dennis's Place on West Sunshine...don't

Lots of people go there, and the place is flat out a hole with a lot of violent alcoholics.

And wherever you go, expect to see a ton of Abercrombie wearing frat guys with Cardinal hats on. This IS a college town for sure...
