Ive played a lot of fantasy football but never a keeper league. This one looks good!

See, I would but the last time I had a team I kicked ass and took names until the very last game which I lost and in return lost the season and to me that sucked ass. Needless to say I was a little mad.

I'm thinking about it... I've never really been big into the fantasy football thing, cause the last thing I want is to be able to colsole the loss of my Chiefs team with, "Well at least Tory Holt got 200 yards and 3 TDs, that'll make my fantasy team great!"

I think you can care about winning and have fun. I've always had fun but I still care about winning. I guess its on fun if you only care about winning. The funnest Fantasy Football experience is the live live draft. But its hard to find local people that you can all get together with at the same time. And the more beer I drink the more risky the picks I make but I've had some turn out to be jewels! It can be fun even if you start out crappy to try to pick up some late season sleepers and attempt to turn the team around and make a run.

I play in a 16 team, 1 player keeper.

For me it's just all about having fun.

The Dirty Krauts are in division III.

Wish the rosters were bigger but we'll manage.

Those rules are not in stone yet but provide a solid base. This is from the league message board

Just a suggestion, but our keeper league had a salary cap. Since our rosters are 15 players I'll change it to reflect that.

Say the cap is $30. Every year you keep a player their price doubles. 1st year everyone is 1$, 2nd year $2, 3rd year $4, etc. That way you can keep players for years but, say, you can't lock up someone like Manning or LJ or Tomlinson for a decade without sacrificing other spots.

We also had a rule where the last 2 teams could use their 1st round pick the next year to steal any player from any team, but they also had to keep that same cap number.

Sounds like good ideas; I'll make sure to get 'em to guru.

Been there and done that my friend. It sucks. But it was a great season anyway. To make it all better, I turned around and won the league the following year.

I've played every year for the last 6 years or so but have never been in a keeper league.

Well, injury free except for the injured pride and butt kickings I'll be dishing out. :D

This, too, is my first experience with a keeper league.

We have a 10 team, 2 keeper league that does something fairly similar. This year we will have our first year of RFA, which is gonna add a neat twist. Basically you have contracts on your keeper for two years, after that he becomes an RFA. Everyone else gets to bid on the player, and at the end, if you want to match the price you can.

10 keepers for this leauge is gonna be a lot. Should make other drafts shorter.
